Zhai Cheng suddenly sat up. "What did you say?"
"General Manager Huang has disappeared. He doesn't answer his phone, and it seems he's moved out of his place."
Zhai Cheng squinted slightly. He had trusted Manager Huang so much, but never thought...
"Boss, what should we do now?" the junior assistant asked nervously.
Zhai Cheng didn't say a word. He simply hung up the phone and sat there deep in thought, pinching his phone.
"Why don't you go and check it out?" Song Ge also sat up.
Zhai Cheng glanced at Song Ge and finally sighed. "Okay, I'll go and come back right away. You wait for me at home."
"Okay."
Zhai Cheng took Song Ge back to the villa before he left.
On his way there, Zhai Cheng called the junior assistant. "Meet me at the factory later." His words were brief and to the point.
The junior assistant was in a tough spot. He had just made a date with his girlfriend to go out. He had no choice but to call his girlfriend to explain the situation. He even had to buy her a lipstick and a handbag before she finally forgave him.
When Zhai Cheng arrived outside the factory, he didn't see the junior assistant. He got really angry and kept checking his watch.
The junior assistant showed up late. When he saw Zhai Cheng with a dark face, he knew he was in big trouble. "Sorry, boss. There was a traffic jam on my way here."
Zhai Cheng had lost his patience. "Let's go in." After saying that, he led the way in.
The junior assistant wiped the sweat off his face and followed him in.
The workers inside didn't recognize Zhai Cheng. So when they saw him, they just thought he was another official.
The junior assistant took Zhai Cheng to the office of the factory's person - in - charge, Boss Lin.
Zhai Cheng waited in the office for a while. Then a dark - skinned man walked in. He looked honest and simple. When he saw the junior assistant, he naturally recognized him because they had been in touch before.
"Why are you here?" he asked nervously. After all, he knew about the factory's problems this time. As the person - in - charge, he couldn't escape responsibility, although it wasn't entirely his fault.
The junior assistant didn't say a word. Instead, he looked at Zhai Cheng and said, "This is the boss, our top - level superior."
Boss Lin was startled. He quickly stepped forward, wanting to shake hands, but then he thought better of it and pulled his hand back. "Boss, why did you come to such a dangerous place? If you have any instructions, just tell me."
Zhai Cheng squinted his eyes. His slender fingers tapped rhythmically on the table. "You should know why I'm here."
Boss Lin confessed honestly. "Yes, I do."
"So what's the current situation?"
Boss Lin looked worried. If the problem wasn't solved, he would lose his job. "A lot of customers have canceled their orders. The loss is quite large, and some of the workers are causing trouble."
Zhai Cheng frowned and stroked his chin. "Give me the list of customers who canceled their orders, and also the list of workers who are causing trouble."
"Okay."
After getting a general understanding of the situation, Zhai Cheng decided to go to the factory's production workshop to see where the root of the problem was. If it was a production issue in the factory, he would solve it. If someone was deliberately causing trouble, he would make that person regret it.
The junior assistant followed Zhai Cheng down to the production workshop.
There were quite a few people in the production workshop. When they saw Zhai Cheng in a suit, they knew he wasn't an ordinary person. So they were curious, but they didn't dare to come out and ask.
The workers all knew what had happened in the factory recently. They were also afraid of losing their jobs.
Zhai Cheng checked the production process but didn't find any problems.
Suddenly, a man stepped forward. He was obviously nervous.
"Are you from the management?"
Zhai Cheng nodded but didn't reveal his identity. "Do you have something to say?"
"Then you must know if the factory's problems have been solved. Everyone is on edge now. We're all afraid of losing our jobs, and there have been frequent incidents of people causing trouble."
Zhai Cheng's eyes were as cold as an eagle's. "Don't worry. Even if the factory goes bankrupt, you'll still get what you deserve."
The man nodded and seemed to be a bit more at ease.
After Zhai Cheng came out of the production workshop, he suddenly felt that he should learn more and wasn't in a hurry to leave.
In the villa, Song Ge was sitting in the living room. The TV was on, making a lot of noise. Her eyes were fixed on the TV, but she seemed absent - minded.
Suddenly, she heard a sound. Song Ge snapped back to reality and looked at the door expectantly. But when she saw it was Aunt Chen who came back, the expectation in her eyes turned into disappointment.
Aunt Chen noticed all this. Since the young master left, Song Ge had been sitting there, motionless.
"Madam, why don't you go upstairs and rest for a while?"
Song Ge shook her head. "I want to stay here and wait for him to come back." Her intuition told her that this time the problem was not simple.
Aunt Chen sighed and said nothing. She went into the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Song Ge still waited in the living room. She just turned off her phone and sat there.
Maybe she felt that she would start to over - think like this, so she got up and went to the garden outside.
She had wanted to plant some sunflowers in the yard before but never had the time.
She found the seeds she had bought before, as well as two flower pots and some soil.
Song Ge was about to start when she felt a dull pain in her stomach.
She frowned and instinctively covered her stomach.
She tried to move, but the pain was too intense.
Using all her strength, Song Ge shouted, "Aunt Chen, Aunt Chen."
Her voice grew weaker and weaker.
Aunt Chen vaguely heard the voice. She thought she might have misheard. She came out of the kitchen. Not seeing Song Ge, she panicked and ran out. When she saw Song Ge's condition, she panicked even more and rushed over.
"Madam, what's wrong with you?"
"Stomach, my stomach." Song Ge's face was pale.
Aunt Chen helped Song Ge into the villa and let her lie on the sofa. Just as she was about to call, Song Ge stopped her. "Aunt Chen, it's okay. My stomach doesn't hurt anymore."
Aunt Chen was still worried. "We'd better go to the hospital and get checked. It'll be more reassuring."
Song Ge shook her head. "No need." She was afraid that Zhai Cheng would be worried if he came back and couldn't find her.
Aunt Chen seemed to understand Song Ge's meaning. She sighed. "Okay then. If you feel uncomfortable, tell me right away."
"Okay."
Aunt Chen poured a cup of hot water for Song Ge and then went back into the kitchen.
Song Ge stroked her stomach and murmured, "Baby, you have to be okay."
In the evening, Aunt Chen prepared dinner. Song Ge forced herself to eat a few mouthfuls and then sat on the sofa.
It was already 10 p.m. and Song Ge was still sitting there.
"Madam, you'd better go to bed early." This was already the third time Aunt Chen had persuaded Song Ge.
Song Ge shook her head as usual. "Aunt Chen, you go to rest."
Aunt Chen sighed. "Call me if you need anything."
Song Ge waited and gradually fell asleep. Suddenly, a sound woke her up. She opened her eyes and looked at the person at the door.
Zhai Cheng appeared at the door. When he saw her there, his expression didn't change much.
Song Ge pouted but finally said nothing.
