Song Ge pushed open the door of the villa. The living room was spotless, indicating that the house was regularly cleaned.
At a glance, she saw the photo beside the TV. It was a picture of her and Qu Cheng.
It seemed that they had truly been deeply in love.
Song Ge toured every corner of the villa. Although she felt that some things were quite familiar, she still couldn't recall anything. However, she felt that in this environment, she might be able to remember something.
"Can we stay here for a few more days?"
"Sure." Qu Cheng opened the refrigerator and took a look. It was empty. "I'll have someone deliver some supplies."
After saying this, Qu Cheng went to make a phone call.
Song Ge sat alone in the living room. She took off her shoes and curled up on the sofa, trying to recall something, but to no avail.
Soon, someone delivered the supplies and then left.
"Take a rest. You can have dinner soon." As he spoke, Qu Cheng rolled up his sleeves, put the groceries into the refrigerator, and then took a few dishes into the kitchen.
Song Ge put on her shoes and ran to the outside of the kitchen. Looking at the busy man inside, she thought there must be a reason why she loved this man.
Qu Cheng was going about his business methodically. Suddenly, he saw Song Ge standing at the door. He paused for a moment and hooked his finger, gesturing for her to come in.
Song Ge pointed at her own nose in confusion and then walked in. It seemed that she didn't know how to cook.
"Wash these." Qu Cheng took out two tomatoes. "Then cut them up."
Song Ge nodded blankly. She turned on the faucet to wash the tomatoes and then put them on the chopping board. Holding the knife, she didn't know where to start.
When Qu Cheng looked back at her, Song Ge had a rather tangled expression on her face. He smiled, walked behind her, and held the hand that was holding the knife with one hand while holding her other hand with the other.
Song Ge was startled at first, and then smelled a nice scent. Her face blushed.
"First cut them into small pieces, and then into dices."
Song Ge had no idea what Qu Cheng was talking about. She only knew that their current actions were rather ambiguous.
"You do it."
Qu Cheng let go of his hands and stood beside her, just like a master watching his apprentice.
The moment he let go, Song Ge relaxed a bit. However, with him standing beside her watching, she felt quite pressured. She made a gentle cut and glanced at Qu Cheng from the corner of her eye.
"Ah!" Song Ge screamed, feeling something oozing out from the tip of her finger.
Qu Cheng immediately grabbed her hand, took out a tissue from his bag to wrap it up, and led her to the living room.
He found the first - aid kit, unwrapped the tissue on her finger, took out the alcohol, and reminded, "It might hurt a bit."
Song Ge gritted her teeth.
Qu Cheng gently sprayed the alcohol, then took a cotton swab and gently wiped the wound, and put on a Band - Aid.
"Why are you so clumsy?"
Song Ge felt rather aggrieved. It was clearly because he was watching her cut that she got nervous.
Qu Cheng sighed. "Just wait to eat." Then he went into the kitchen.
After a while, Qu Cheng came out of the kitchen with the meals and appeared in the living room.
Song Ge also walked over and sat down. Just as she picked up the chopsticks, Qu Cheng snatched them away.
Song Ge was puzzled. The next second, Qu Cheng picked up some food and brought it to Song Ge's mouth. "Ah."
"I hurt my left hand. I can do it myself."
Qu Cheng didn't say a word. He just glanced at Song Ge, and Song Ge obediently opened her mouth.
The two of them finished dinner, feeding each other.
Song Ge looked at her injured left hand. She wanted to take off her clothes but couldn't. She gritted her teeth, mustered up her courage, and finally took off the clothes, but it pulled at the wound.
Song Ge blew on it and saw blood oozing out. The Band - Aid was already stained red.
She went downstairs, found a Band - Aid, and changed it herself. After changing it, just as she was about to go upstairs, she heard a loud thud coming from Qu Cheng's room.
Song Ge slowly approached and walked over, but found that the room door was closed. She put her ear against the door, but then heard nothing.
Could it be that she had misheard?
Song Ge turned around in confusion and slowly walked upstairs. After entering the room and just sitting down, she still couldn't calm down. She immediately went downstairs again and came to Qu Cheng's room door.
She raised her hand, hesitated for a moment, and then knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside.
"Qu Cheng?" Song Ge called out, but still no one answered her.
Song Ge felt a pang of panic. Thinking of the sound just now, she wondered if something had happened to him.
She anxiously turned the lock but found that the door was locked from the inside. Without the key, she couldn't get in.
"Key, find the key." Song Ge murmured to herself. She turned around and immediately went to look in the drawer in the living room.
The hand that pulled open the drawer was trembling and unsteady. Song Ge held her own hand and forced herself to calm down.
She didn't find the spare key in the living - room drawer. Song Ge ran upstairs to look in her room and successfully found the key in the drawer in her room.
She ran downstairs. Being too anxious, her steps were in a mess. She accidentally missed a step and rolled down the stairs. Fortunately, she grabbed the handrail, but she still fell hard.
After a while, she got up from the ground and went to open the door.
The room door opened smoothly. Qu Cheng was lying on the ground.
Song Ge ran over, hugged Qu Cheng, and tears welled up in her eyes involuntarily. She didn't even know what she was saying. "Qu Cheng, wake up. Wake up!"
Some images inexplicably appeared in her mind, and she was also mumbling something.
"You clearly said you would always be with me."
"You also said you would marry me."
Song Ge said these words intermittently. She didn't know why she was saying these things.
She took out her phone and was about to call 120 when Qu Cheng in her arms opened his eyes and looked at her in surprise. "Do you remember?"
It turned out that Qu Cheng had pretended to faint just to see if he could stimulate Song Ge to remember something. It seemed that the method had worked.
Song Ge looked at the man who suddenly sat up. She suddenly realized that she had been tricked. She was a bit angry and slapped Qu Cheng hard. "You lied to me!"
Qu Cheng didn't care about this anymore. He held her shoulders with both hands. "Do you remember?" His eyes were full of expectation.
Song Ge shook her head.
"Then, then why did you say those things just now?"
Song Ge was also confused. "I, I don't know." She really didn't know why she had said those things.
Qu Cheng's expectant eyes turned into disappointment.
Song Ge returned to her room, still thinking about why she had said those things.
Qu Cheng lay in bed, tossing and turning. He suddenly remembered what Song Ge had said about the system reminder before. He turned over, concentrated his attention, and unexpectedly, he seemed to hear a reminder about Song Ge's lifespan limit.
