While the Huo family was in an uproar, Gu Sisi remained calm. After that night, she hadn't seen Ji Ling again. Gu Chenfei told her that Ji Ling had to rush off to perform a surgery, which was why he left early.
Considering the special nature of the doctor's profession, Gu Sisi said she understood. She didn't have any doubts about the fact that she had passed out that night - or rather, fainted. She thought perhaps her alcohol tolerance had declined, or maybe she had been too careless.

Gu Chenfei's image as a cold goddess in Gu Sisi's mind was gradually collapsing. Gu Sisi was really curious about how many other sides of Gu Chenfei were yet to be discovered.
"By the way, let's take Xiaotao with us. Is she still sleeping?" Gu Sisi suddenly thought that if she and Gu Chenfei left, and Gu Yangtao woke up to find them gone, she might be really sad.
After hearing Gu Sisi's words, Gu Chenfei first took the baby from Gu Sisi's arms and called Aunt Hua to look after it. Then she pushed Gu Sisi into the room and ordered her to quickly put on makeup and change her clothes.

Who was it? Who had kicked her? She would surely get even with this person once she saw who it was. Gu Yangtao thought as she slowly opened her eyes.
Then, a terrifying thing happened.
"AAAAHHH!"
Gu Yangtao let out a scream, almost losing her mind. The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was Gu Chenfei's face - an enlarged version at that. It wasn't just that Gu Yangtao was scared; she felt lucky to still be alive.
She was sure that it was Gu Chenfei who had kicked her.
But even though she knew the culprit, that person showed no sign of remorse. After kicking and scaring her, Gu Chenfei just stood there looking down at her.
Gu Yangtao silently shrank back under the covers. What was this person up to? She hadn't done anything wrong today, had she? Why was she scaring her like this? It was terrifying. Gu Yangtao was filled with resentment.
Of course, she only dared to feel resentful in her heart. She wouldn't dare to say a word. If Gu Chenfei knew what she was thinking, she might just kick her other butt cheek.
Gu Yangtao wasn't about to make such a foolish move. She wrapped herself up in the quilt, leaving only her eyes to look at Gu Chenfei, full of confusion. Gu Yangtao thought it was really scary to have such a sister. Oh well, she guessed she was just unlucky.
"Come on, hit me. You're used to hitting me, and I'm used to being hit. Just do it quickly. I still want to sleep after you're done."
Of course, Gu Yangtao didn't dare to say this out loud. What if Gu Chenfei beat her even more severely if she did? What if she beat her so badly that she couldn't sleep anymore?
When it came to her life, Gu Yangtao chose to play dumb. She just lay there motionless, waiting for Gu Chenfei to leave after hitting her. She started to silently pray, "Hallelujah," hoping that Gu Chenfei would go easy on her.
"How long are you going to lie there? If you want to keep lying in bed, then I'll go have breakfast with Sisi without you," Gu Chenfei said with a smile, looking at Gu Yangtao.
