Chapter 46: Meeting Again

"That medicine," the two said in unison, their gazes colliding.

Lu Luochen's emotions fluctuated greatly. This time, there was no trace of his usual revulsion.

Weng Sining picked up the medicine box again, her thumb resting on it. "Can I take this?"

"Sure." Lu Luochen nodded awkwardly.

Holding the medicine in her palm, Weng Sining openly stared at Lu Luochen's back.

The sudden lack of hostility between them made Weng Sining feel uncomfortable. It was as if something was pulling them closer bit by bit, making her inexplicably nostalgic for the days when they used to butt heads.

"Thank you." After much thought, Weng Sining decided to show her courtesy.

Not caring whether Lu Luochen responded or not, she popped open the medicine box and swallowed two pills according to the instructions.

Whether it was the effect of the medicine or the result of her shower, the red spots on her body disappeared quickly, along with the irritating itch.

Lu Luochen voluntarily grabbed the pillow from the bed and headed to the sofa.

"Hey, why don't you sleep in the bed?" Weng Sining stood between the bed and the sofa, offering generously.

After all, he had bought the allergy medicine for her. It was a sign of friendliness, so she should respond in kind.

Moreover, considering their heights, Weng Sining would be more comfortable on the sofa than Lu Luochen.

Lu Luochen lay down on the sofa sideways, folding his arms and ignoring Weng Sining's words. He hooked the blanket in the corner with his long fingers and casually draped it over his legs.

Is the sun rising in the west?

Weng Sining stood there stupidly for a while before moving to the bed and lying down.

In the dark room, their breathing echoed in the silence. Weng Sining placed her hands on the quilt, her big, round eyes fixed on the ceiling.

Tossing and turning, Weng Sining secretly slapped her head.

What are you thinking? He did it for the cat, not for you! she grumbled to herself, pinching her thigh to stop her wild thoughts.

Lu Luochen on the sofa also couldn't fall asleep.

His eyes were fixed on the bed, his gaze lingering on Weng Sining.

It wasn't until the early hours of the morning that the restless figure on the bed finally stilled. Lu Luochen then turned his head to the other side.

The next morning.

As soon as Weng Sining opened her eyes, she immediately turned to look at the sofa.

Is he gone?

Weng Sining sat up, stretched, and got out of bed. She rubbed her hair with one hand and grabbed her clothes with the other, then headed towards the bathroom.

Yawning with her eyes closed, Weng Sining walked in and saw Lu Luochen standing there shirtless.

Her eyes automatically drifted downward, and she couldn't help but swallow.

"Get out!" Lu Luochen grabbed a towel and threw it at Weng Sining's face.

The air seemed to thicken, and Weng Sining's face turned bright red. She stood there like a statue until Lu Luochen spoke again, then she scurried out in a hurry.

Hearing the slamming door behind her, Weng Sining covered her chest. The towel was still on her face, and her head was down, her eyes fixed on her toes.

I have to admit, Lu Luochen is really good-looking and has a great body. Weng Sining reached up to touch her face, then pulled the towel off and covered her cheeks with it, humming silently.

Lu Luochen looked at himself in the mirror. His ears were red from the tips to the roots. He quickly put on his clothes, composed himself, and walked out.

Weng Sining, who was leaning against the wall, wanted to say something, but Lu Luochen walked past her as if she was invisible.

"Weng Sining, what's wrong with your head!" Weng Sining knocked on her head and ruffled her hair in frustration.

...

Mo Xin Building.

Yun Chutong stood downstairs. Her agent was holding her handbag and took the sunglasses she had just taken off.

After the accident on the set a few days ago, some of her work had been postponed and adjusted.

"Ms. Amanda, this way please." Qiao Xi, wearing a professional suit, had been waiting at the company entrance.

Yun Chutong raised her chin haughtily and sashayed into the lobby.

The employees in the building saw all kinds of celebrities every day, so they were used to their presence.

After Yun Chutong entered, no one even glanced at her.

"Please." Qiao Xi led them to the elevator.

They took the elevator to the meeting room, where Weng Sining was already waiting.

The glass door was pushed open, and Qiao Xi stopped at the door. After they entered, she glanced at Weng Sining and closed the door.

"Ms. Amanda, long time no see."

Yun Chutong looked at the outstretched hand in front of her and gently placed her fingertips on it as a gesture.

Feeling the other's disdain, Weng Sining didn't seem to care. After Yun Chutong sat down, she picked up the shooting schedule she had prepared earlier.

"I heard that you were injured a few days ago, Ms. Amanda. I wonder if it will affect the shooting?"

"You don't have to worry about that. Since we're here today, it means the injury won't have any impact on the shooting," Yun Chutong's agent said, reassuring Weng Sining.

"Great. Then the schedule will be the same as in the contract. Here's the shooting schedule. Please take a look."

The documents were distributed to everyone. The only sound in the quiet meeting room was the flipping of papers.

Yun Chutong took a cursory look and then focused her attention on Weng Sining.

"Have we met before?"

Her sudden question made everyone in the room look up at Weng Sining.

"Ms. Amanda, you're so busy you've forgotten. The last time we met was in the coffee shop when I was in charge of signing the contract with you."

Yun Chutong vaguely remembered something, but she felt like she hadn't met Weng Sining in the coffee shop.

Weng Sining joked with a smile, "Ms. Amanda, don't feel bad. I'm really happy. I'm your fan! It's an honor for me to leave an impression on you."

To match her words, Weng Sining even turned the document in front of her over and placed it, along with the pen in her hand, in front of Yun Chutong.

Before she could even ask for an autograph, the agent on the side stood up and stopped her. "Sorry, we can't sign autographs casually."

"Sorry, I got too excited." Weng Sining quickly retracted her hand. She didn't really want an autograph anyway.

After a general review of the schedule, Weng Sining threw herself into work. She mentioned the shooting requirements and schedule again to make sure Yun Chutong's team remembered them.

By the time they were done, it was already noon. Yun Chutong obviously wasn't as focused as before. She sat in the chair, constantly scrolling through her phone.

Weng Sining accidentally caught a glimpse of the phone screen. The background was a photo of Yun Chutong and Lu Luochen being intimate.

Recently, Lu Luochen had been silent at home. He didn't resist anything the old man said and was even gentler to her. Connecting this with Yun Chutong in front of her, everything made sense.

"Thank you for your cooperation. I hope our future work will go smoothly."

The projector behind them was turned off, and the lights in the meeting room were switched on.
