In front of Yun Chutong stood two doctors in white coats and a nurse who hid a syringe filled with sedatives behind her back. Two policemen in uniform stood behind them.
"Miss Yun, don't be afraid. Please come out, okay?" The older doctor squatted on the ground, looking at Yun Chutong, who had curled herself into a ball and was trying to squeeze herself into the corner, with a kind face and the gentlest tone possible.
They really had no other choice. Since Yun Chutong woke up when the doctors were about to give her a full-body examination, the situation had gotten completely out of control.
At first, it wasn't these two doctors who were examining her but another female doctor. Unexpectedly, as soon as Yun Chutong woke up, she scratched the female doctor's face with her fingernails, leaving several deep and long wounds on the doctor's face.
Attacking the doctor was bad enough. After that, she started attacking anyone without discrimination. Whoever got within one meter of her would be kicked, punched, and bitten. She kept shouting words like "Get away!", "Don't come near!", "Monster!", and "Devil!"
Don't be fooled by her seemingly delicate appearance. She was surprisingly strong. None of the male doctors and policemen present could subdue her. She managed to crawl under the hospital bed and held a syringe that she had somehow gotten hold of.
Hearing the doctor's words, Yun Chutong not only didn't relax her vigilance but became even more on guard. She half-crouched on the ground. When the doctor was speaking, she suddenly stabbed the syringe in her hand towards the doctor's eyes, roaring like a wild beast.
If the doctor hadn't been on guard and leaned back quickly, Yun Chutong might have really hit him.
The older doctor was scared out of his wits. He almost lost an eye. He quickly took a few steps back and looked at the policemen who had come with Yun Chutong with a helpless expression.
"The patient is too emotional. We really can't give her a proper examination. Without an examination, we can't determine what's causing her to go crazy."
The doctor wiped the sweat off his forehead as he spoke.
The policemen knew that what the doctor said was the truth. The two policemen looked at each other and saw deep helplessness in each other's eyes.
They had no way out either. Yun Chutong wouldn't let anyone get close to her. Even they had many injuries caused by her. Bitten wounds that bled were one thing, but there were also cuts made by the needle. They would have to go for a check-up later to avoid getting infected with any diseases.
But even though they were at a loss, they had to find a way. In the end, after much effort and at the cost of one of the policemen getting a few scratches on his face, they managed to calm Yun Chutong down and quickly gave her a comprehensive examination from head to toe.
While Yun Chutong and the others were causing chaos in the ward, none of them noticed that a tall man wearing a mask and a baseball cap quietly appeared at the ward door and silently watched the whole farce.
After watching for about ten minutes, the man turned around and left without hesitation.
Not long after the man left, another man sneaked up to the ward door. He slightly unzipped his coat, and a camera lens slowly protruded, completely recording the scene in the ward.
...
The next afternoon, Wen Sining checked out of the hospital.
Although her illness came on suddenly and was extremely painful, as long as the diseased appendix was removed through surgery, there would be no problem. On the contrary, Lu Luochen's hand... seemed to be much more seriously injured than hers.
Wen Sining didn't deliberately hide the fact that she was hospitalized. Donna couldn't come to visit her because her sprained foot hadn't fully recovered yet, but she did call a few times to inquire about her condition after learning the news.
Qiao Xi had to help deal with the mess caused by Xia Duoduo's fall from the building. During this period, she wished she could split herself into eight people. She spent twenty out of twenty-four hours in the company and couldn't come to the hospital.
Now that the matter had been perfectly resolved and she had officially handed in her resignation letter, she quickly came to pick Wen Sining up from the hospital.
Qiao Xi glanced at the two silent people sitting in the back seat through the rearview mirror in the car. She looked at Lu Luochen's hand, which was wrapped like a mummy after being seriously injured while saving Wen Sining, and couldn't help but change her opinion of him a little. She no longer spoke to him coldly as before.
While waiting for a red light, Qiao Xi casually looked out of the car window and happened to see Xia Duoduo's advertisement being played on the LED screen of the opposite building. She suddenly remembered something and quickly turned to Wen Sining in the back seat and said,
"Sining, do you still remember the incident of Xia Duoduo falling from the building before?"
"Yeah. What's going on? Is there any progress?"
Qiao Xi nodded eagerly. Just then, the green light came on. She drove while saying, "Yeah. When I went to see Xia Duoduo yesterday, I accidentally heard her conversation with her agent. They said they found the person who pushed Xia Duoduo downstairs... Sining, do you know who that person is? It's actually the waiter in that hotel!"
"What shocked me was that the reason the waiter attacked Xia Duoduo was simply because she thought Xia Duoduo had snatched Yun Chutong's resources! Oh my god, it's so crazy. Just because of such a thing, she pushed someone downstairs. If Xia Duoduo hadn't been lucky enough to fall on a freshly dug flower bed, she might have died!"
Hearing Yun Chutong's name, Wen Sining subconsciously frowned and looked up. "Is that waiter a fan of Yun Chutong?"
"Yeah, a real die-hard fan. She's so crazy about her idol that she's lost her mind."
"Has the person been caught?"
"She should have been caught. But I didn't see the police's announcement yesterday. It should be out today."
Hearing this, Wen Sining immediately took out her phone. She didn't even need to search deliberately. When she opened the hot news push on Weibo, it was all about Xia Duoduo.
She clicked on the hot news and found out that the police had announced three hours ago that they had found the criminal who pushed Xia Duoduo downstairs and also attached some basic information about the criminal.
The reason this news was still at the top of the hot news list was that some capable people managed to find out the identity of the criminal just based on the few words revealed by the police, and thus learned that the person was a fan of Yun Chutong.
Since Yun Chutong was imprisoned, her fan base had basically collapsed. So now, the online comments were almost one-sided... Well, they were all scolding Yun Chutong.
But there were still some die-hard fans of Yun Chutong who were still stubbornly defending her. As a result, the incident became even more of a big deal.
