"Look down," Lu Luochen's voice rang out again.
Wen Sining looked down as he said. Her gaze shifted downward and she saw a tall and slender figure leaning against a car. The man's right hand held a phone to his ear.
Just as she looked down, Lu Luochen happened to look up. Their eyes met in the air. Wen Sining felt a surge of emotion well up inside her. She really hadn't expected Lu Luochen to be here.
"When did you come?"
"I called Grandpa after work. He said you hadn't gone back, so I drove here," Lu Luochen replied.
He usually got off work at six. It was already nine now. He had been waiting for three hours. "Why didn't you call me?"
"I was afraid of disturbing your work." He had also seen what was going on online and knew that Wen Sining must be very busy. So he had been waiting in the car all the time. He didn't call her until he saw Donna come out and then waited for another half an hour.
"How could that be? Wait for me. I'll come down right away." Wen Sining grabbed the coat that was thrown aside and put it on as she walked. At that moment, she suddenly had a strong urge to hug Lu Luochen.
She took the elevator down. The two of them didn't hang up the phone. Lu Luochen heard the rustling sound in his ear and subtly curved his lips.
When Wen Sining came down and saw Lu Luochen, she ran straight towards him.
Lu Luochen put his phone into his bag and reached out to catch her. Wen Sining threw herself into his arms.
After hugging for a while, Lu Luochen's voice sounded above her head. "Where do you want to eat?"
Wen Sining looked up from his arms. After thinking for a while, she said, "I want to eat hot pot. Is that okay?" The first snow was the perfect match for hot pot.
Looking at her pleading eyes, Lu Luochen agreed, even though he didn't really advocate eating this.
"Then let's go quickly!" Wen Sining let go of him, walked around to the other side, opened the car door and got in.
Lu Luochen really had no way with her. He got into the driver's seat and started the car. The heater in the car was on full blast and it wasn't cold at all.
As the car drove on the road, Lu Luochen said, "I asked Jin Yihao to check on Lu Xuan. His background is clean and I didn't find anything abnormal." The more this was the case, the more he felt that there was something wrong with that person.
"You guys have reminded me. I'd better be more careful," Wen Sining said.
Seeing that she had taken his words to heart, Lu Luochen didn't say much more. Soon, he stopped in front of a hot pot restaurant.
"I heard from Jin Yihao before that the hot pot in this restaurant is very delicious," Lu Luochen turned to Wen Sining beside him and said.
Jin Yihao was a big fan of hot pot.
Wen Sining nodded. The two of them got out of the car and went in. Maybe because it was snowing, there were a lot of people in the restaurant.
As soon as they went in, a clerk immediately stepped forward and asked, "Hello, how many of you?"
"Two of us," Wen Sining replied.
The clerk looked around and found that the first floor was already full. So he led them upstairs and finally they sat down at a window seat where they could just see the snow outside.
"May I ask what kind of hot pot you'd like?"
"Yuanyang hot pot," Wen Sining blurted out. Then she remembered that Lu Luochen couldn't eat very spicy food and was just about to change her order when the person sitting opposite her stopped her.
"Just this one."
"Take a look at what you'd like to eat," Wen Sining pushed the menu over.
"You can order. I don't eat this kind of food often." Lu Luochen had eaten hot pot only a few times.
"Okay then." Wen Sining ordered some dishes. These were all must - haves for hot pot.
The hot pot was brought up. Wen Sining started to cook the dishes in it. Lu Luochen wasn't really interested in this. He picked up his chopsticks to put food into Wen Sining's bowl but didn't eat much himself.
When Wen Sining saw this, she immediately put down her chopsticks. "Lu Luochen, you can try it. It's really good." She picked up a piece of beef and put it into his bowl.
Under her encouraging gaze, Lu Luochen took a bite.
"How is it?" Wen Sining asked expectantly, waiting for his answer.
"It's not bad, just a bit spicy."
"Then you can put it in the clear soup pot," Wen Sining said.
Lu Luochen nodded.
The meal ended happily like this. After the meal, the two of them came out of the restaurant.
There was already a thin layer of snow outside. The breath they exhaled was white.
"Are you cold?"
Wen Sining shook her head. "Let's go home."
Lu Luochen gave a soft "hmm" and walked over to drive the car over.
When the two of them got back to the Lu family mansion, it was almost eleven o'clock.
They were full of the smell of hot pot. They took a shower before lying down on the bed. Maybe because she was too tired today, Wen Sining fell asleep soon after lying in bed.
After Lu Luochen took a shower and came out, he looked at Wen Sining's sleeping profile. He moved quietly and lay down beside her. Under the quilt, he reached out and pulled her towards him. He hugged her in his arms and then fell into a deep sleep.
The next day.
Lu Luochen woke up on time according to his biological clock. He moved his body and got out of bed. Wen Sining also opened her eyes. "What time is it?"
"Seven o'clock."
Lu Luochen answered her while changing his clothes. Wen Sining got out of bed in her pajamas and opened the curtains. She found that it was all white outside. It seemed that it had snowed all night.
Although she really wanted to go snowball fighting, she still had to go to the company today.
After the two of them washed up, they went downstairs to have breakfast. Grandpa Lu and Grandpa Xiao were already sitting there.
After Lu Luochen sat down, he peeled an egg for Wen Sining and put it in her bowl. Then he started to have breakfast.
Grandpa Lu noticed his grandson's action and felt very gratified. His grandson had finally got the hang of it.
Lu Luochen and Wen Sining didn't know what Grandpa Lu was thinking. They ate their breakfast quietly.
"Ningning, let Lu Luochen take you to the company later. It's snowing so heavily. It's not safe to drive," Grandpa Lu said worriedly.
Wen Sining was just about to say that it wasn't necessary. When the company was just established, she would go to the company no matter it was raining or snowing. The snow here wasn't a big deal to her.
"Sure," Wen Sining hadn't even spoken when Lu Luochen had already agreed.
"If you take me to work, you'll be late for work," she said. Their two companies weren't close to each other.
"No. Even if I don't go today, no one will say anything," Lu Luochen said.
Wen Sining looked at him. Thinking that what he said made sense, she agreed to let him take her.
After breakfast, Lu Luochen took Wen Sining to the company.
"Be careful on your way back," Wen Sining told him.
"Got it. It's cold outside. Hurry in."
Wen Sining nodded, ran towards the company, waved to Lu Luochen at the door, and then he drove away.
Donna happened to see this scene and deliberately joked, "Tsk tsk tsk. Stop looking. He's already gone."
Only then did Wen Sining come back to her senses.
"Mr. Lu personally takes you to work. It's really enviable."
