Chapter 261: Unpleasantness

"I just finished dealing with things and immediately thought of calling you," he said. He missed her a bit, but he was too embarrassed to admit it as he thought it was a bit cheesy.

"How are Grandpa and the others?"

"They're doing fine. When will you be back?"

"Within these few days. You should also pay attention to rest while working," Wen Sining said, looking at him.

"I know. You too." Lu Luochen knew that her words were an expression of concern. It would be a lie to say he wasn't happy.

After chatting for a few more minutes, they bid each other goodnight.

After charging her phone, Wen Sining lay on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, the alarm went off at eight. Wen Sining opened her eyes, turned off the alarm directly, and then reluctantly got up after lying in bed for another minute.

She was the only one in the villa. After getting dressed, Wen Sining drove out, bought breakfast on the way, and then took it to the company to eat.

Her villa wasn't far from the company. She arrived at the company at around half - past eight. She had her own office on the top floor, but she didn't usually go there when she came to the company.

After having breakfast, Wen Sining stayed in the office for a while. At nine o'clock, there was a knock on the office door.

"Come in," Wen Sining's voice sounded.

Immediately after, the office door was pushed open from the outside, and the person who came in was Tina.

"Take a seat," Wen Sining said, nodding towards the chair in front of her.

Tina walked over and sat down.

Wen Sining's voice sounded again, "I've seen the clothing samples you designed. There seem to be no problems. But I'm quite surprised that you could correct the mistakes and design new styles in such a short time." Although she said so, she still had some doubts about Tina in her heart.

Hearing this, Tina finally let out a sigh of relief. She was afraid that Wen Sining wouldn't be satisfied.

To be honest, she didn't want to leave this company, as the treatment here was many times better than other places.

"Of course, I keep my word. Since you've designed them, you can continue to stay in the company," Wen Sining said. She still had a suspicion and wanted to see if these clothing samples were really designed by Tina.

Tina nodded.

"Okay, from now on, you should keep working in this style."

"I understand," Tina replied.

"By the way, since the design drafts have been approved, we can make sample clothes and then take them to the factory for mass production. They can be launched in the spring of next year," Wen Sining said to her. The design drafts made now were for the spring of next year.

"I'll do it right away," Tina replied.

Wen Sining waved her hand, indicating that Tina could leave.

Tina was in a great mood.

As soon as she returned to her office, Steve walked in. Steve had something to talk to her.

"Sister Tina, here are the materials you asked for. I'll leave them here," Steve said.

Tina nodded.

Just as Steve was about to leave, she accidentally saw the design draft on the table. It was her own design, but the name on it was Tina's. She immediately felt dissatisfied and grabbed it.

"Isn't this my design draft? Why is only your name on it?" she asked, pointing at the draft in her hand.

Tina realized that she had been careless. "It's all the same. You just need to do your own job well and don't worry about other things."

Steve didn't agree with her words. After staying in the company for a few days, she already knew about Tina's actions. Today, Tina was called to the boss's office, and seeing that she was in a good mood when she came back, Steve guessed that everything was okay.

"But this is what I designed. Even if you want it, my name should be on it," Steve said.

Tina lost her patience with her. She just needed a substitute. Looking at Steve, she said, "So what do you want? If you keep pestering me about this, I can't guarantee that I'll still fulfill the salary and treatment I promised you before."

Hearing this, Steve immediately fell silent. She really needed money at this moment.

"Okay, you can go now. Don't disturb my work."

Steve walked out of Tina's office with a gloomy face. But she still had to do her work.

In the following days, Steve was always in a low mood when thinking about work. She thought she had found a good job, but it turned out to be like this.

One day, when she got home from work, a voice suddenly rang out as soon as she entered.

"You're finally back."

The sudden voice gave Steve a big scare. Then she saw a person sitting on the sofa. It was her landlady.

"Landlady, I'll pay the rent to you tomorrow at the latest." Tomorrow was the weekend, and she didn't have to go to work.

"Hurry up. You've been in arrears for several days. I'll give you three more days. If you still can't pay the rent within three days, I won't rent this house to you anymore."

"Okay, okay, I know," Steve replied immediately.

The landlady then left her room.

After the landlady left, Steve lay down on the sofa directly. She didn't have the money to pay the rent at all. Helplessly, she could only call Tina.

At this moment, Tina was partying in a bar. Her phone in her pocket vibrated a few times. She looked at the caller ID and then took the phone to a relatively quiet corner to answer it.

"What's up?" she said while taking out a cigarette from her pocket, lighting it, and putting it in her mouth.

"Sister Tina, could you settle half a month's salary for me first? I want to pay the rent," Steve said.

Since that day, this was the first time Steve had taken the initiative to talk to Tina.

"Okay, okay, I know. I'll transfer the money to you later," Tina said impatiently. After she finished speaking, she hung up the phone without waiting for Steve's response.

Tina didn't take Steve's words seriously at all. She just stuffed her phone into her pocket and went back to continue having fun.

Steve waited all night for the money to be transferred, but she still didn't receive it. Suddenly, she lost hope in Tina.

The next day, she took her computer out, hoping to find some inspiration outside. She wanted to earn some extra money through her own design drafts. Unconsciously, she came to the shopping mall.

Steve was used to finding a dessert shop. She sat down by the window with her computer in her arms. Sitting here, she could see all kinds of people outside, which would inspire her creativity more quickly.
