Neither Lu Luochen nor Wen Sining paid much attention to those things. As they walked along, they unconsciously arrived at the snack section.
Wen Sining picked up several bags of chips and tossed them into the shopping cart. Seeing this, Lu Luochen spoke up, "This is junk food. Eat less of it."
"I'll only eat it this once," Wen Sining replied.
Looking into Wen Sining's pleading eyes, Lu Luochen didn't say anything more. Instead, he picked up some more for her and put them in the shopping cart.
Seeing his actions, Wen Sining couldn't help but complain silently in her heart: He was just scolding me, but now he's doing this.
Unaware of what Wen Sining was thinking, Lu Luochen pushed the cart forward. He pointed at the sparkling water and asked, "Do you want this?"
Wen Sining glanced in the direction he was pointing and shook her head. She rarely drank sparkling water.
"This one is okay," she said as she picked up a bottle of cocktail.
Lu Luochen took a look and didn't say anything because the alcohol content of the cocktail she picked was not high.
Wen Sining picked up several bottles of cola, yogurt, and Yakult and put them all in the cart.
When they thought they had bought enough, they pushed the cart to the cashier to check out.
The items were packed into two shopping bags. Wen Sining carried one. After Lu Luochen paid the bill, he casually took the bag from Wen Sining's hand.
Looking at the prominent veins on his arm, Wen Sining said, "Do you want me to help you carry it?"
"No need," Lu Luochen refused directly. How could he let her do such a small thing?
Wen Sining didn't say anything more.
Lu Luochen put the purchased items in the back seat and then drove off.
On the way, Wen Sining received a message from Qiao Xi. She took a look, replied to it, and then waved her phone at Lu Luochen.
"Xixi told us to go directly here. She and Feng Jingcheng are setting up the tent," she said.
Taking advantage of the red light, Lu Luochen glanced at it and indicated that he understood.
They drove there. Since there were quite a few people having picnics recently, Lu Luochen parked the car outside the park and then carried the purchased items inside.
The place Feng Jingcheng chose was very conspicuous. As soon as they entered, Wen Sining spotted Qiao Xi who was setting up the tent. She walked over and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Xixi," she called.
Hearing the voice, Qiao Xi turned around. "You're finally here. I'm so tired," she said, rubbing her lower back. Setting up the tent was really difficult.
"When I came here just now, I saw there were people over there who specialized in setting up tents," Wen Sining said, pointing backward.
Feng Jingcheng hammered the nail in and picked up her words. "I originally planned to let them handle it, but Xixi said she wanted to experience the feeling of a picnic."
Qiao Xi stuck out her tongue at him.
Lu Luochen put the purchased items on the picnic mat. "You two sort these out. Feng Jingcheng and I will handle the tent," he said.
Qiao Xi agreed. If she had known setting up the tent would be so tiring, she would have let those people do it. Sure enough, the saying "everyone has their own specialty" was right.
They spread the picnic mat flat on the lawn and put all the purchased items on it.
"Wow, there's also sushi," Qiao Xi said as she picked up the box.
"I made it this morning," Wen Sining said, taking a look.
"No wonder. I haven't eaten anything you made for a long time," Qiao Xi said. She had been so busy with the coffee shop that she didn't have time to have a get - together with Wen Sining.
Wen Sining glanced at the two people still busy behind and lowered her voice. "Are you two okay now?" Since they left her home last time, Wen Sining hadn't asked about this matter again.
Qiao Xi shook her head. "It was all a misunderstanding. We've already cleared it up."
Wen Sining nodded. As long as they were okay with each other.
"Look, I even brought a camera," Qiao Xi said as she took it out of her bag and then looked at Wen Sining.
Wen Sining immediately understood her look. "Okay, I'll take pictures of you later."
Qiao Xi smiled at her. "I knew you were the best to me."
Wen Sining didn't say anything. She just gave her a helpless look.
After they had arranged the items, Lu Luochen and the others had also set up the tent.
After everything was tidied up, the four of them sat down and ate the food they had brought.
Qiao Xi remembered that she had also bought a cake. After asking Lu Luochen for the car keys, she and Wen Sining went to get the cake.
They brought it back and put it on the picnic mat. The cake wasn't very big. Cutting it into four pieces was just right.
"How's the taste?" Qiao Xi asked Wen Sining who was sitting beside her.
"Not bad," Wen Sining said with cream on the corner of her mouth.
"I specifically chose this one because it's not very sweet," Qiao Xi said. She knew that Wen Sining didn't like desserts very much.
After eating the desserts, Lu Luochen peeled all the shrimps, put them in a box, and handed it to Wen Sining.
Feng Jingcheng happened to turn his head and saw this scene. He couldn't help but click his tongue twice and joked, "I didn't expect our General Manager Lu to do such a thing. I remember you don't eat shrimp, right?"
Lu Luochen just gave him a look, and Feng Jingcheng immediately shut up. But his words made Wen Sining feel embarrassed, and a blush appeared on her cheeks.
"Don't mind him. Eat quickly," Lu Luochen said, turning to Wen Sining.
Wen Sining picked up a shrimp and took a bite. But she still hadn't forgiven Lu Luochen in her heart because the words he said at that time had hurt her so much.
The four of them sat together and chatted for a while. Time passed quickly. Qiao Xi took out two bubble machines from her bag.
"Here's one for you," she said.
Wen Sining took a look. "Why did you bring this kind of thing? Aren't these for kids?" she said, looking at the thing in her hand doubtfully.
"So what? I'll ask Feng Jingcheng to take pictures," Qiao Xi said. She pulled Wen Sining up from the ground and threw the camera to Feng Jingcheng.
The other person immediately understood. Qiao Xi pulled Wen Sining to pose. Her action made Wen Sining hesitate for a moment. "Do I still need to take pictures?" She really rarely took pictures.
Qiao Xi nodded. "We've come all the way here. How can we not take pictures?"
Not wanting to dampen the mood, Wen Sining agreed. She subconsciously glanced at Lu Luochen and then shifted her gaze.
Qiao Xi pressed the button on the bubble machine, and the next second, bubbles appeared.
Taking this opportunity, they asked Lu Luochen to take a picture.
"How is it?" Qiao Xi immediately went over to check.
After seeing the finished photo, she was quite satisfied. "Ningning, you're in such a great state. The photos look so good, but you still don't like taking pictures."
Hearing this, Lu Luochen couldn't help but lean over to take a look. It was really good.
Wen Sining pursed her lips.
Qiao Xi pulled her to take a few more pictures.
Lu Luochen also raised his phone and took a picture of Wen Sining. Looking at the bright smile of the girl in the photo, he unconsciously curled his lips, and his mood also improved.
