Chapter 359: Funding Crisis

Soon, Lu Luochen pulled up at the venue of the concert.

"Where is Jing Anyu? He's not standing you up, is he?" Lu Luochen said as he got out of the car.

Wen Sining gave him a look. "Do you think everyone is like you?"

"Fine, I'll stop talking. Anyway, he's not here yet. I'll take you in first. You can go find him when he arrives," Lu Luochen suggested.

Wen Sining was also curious to see what it was like inside. "Can you get in?"

"Of course."

Seeing Wen Sining still hesitating, Lu Luochen simply grabbed her hand and walked over.

"Come on. Don't forget your phone is in my hand. And the concert is about to start. Are you sure you don't want to go in?"

Only then did Wen Sining realize that she had casually put her phone in the car when she got in and completely forgotten about it when she got out. How careless.

She had no choice but to follow him in. When they were checking tickets, she found that Lu Luochen was holding VIP tickets.

When Jing Anyu arrived, he didn't see Wen Sining at the entrance. He thought she hadn't come, so he took out his phone and called her. There was no answer. He called again, but still no answer.

He waited outside for a while, but there was still no sign of Wen Sining. So he sent her a message saying that he was going in first and that she could come find him when she arrived.

After sending the message, he walked in with his ticket. Only then did he see Lu Luochen and Wen Sining sitting in the VIP seats. He was the one who had invited her out, but somehow Lu Luochen had swooped in.

Lu Luochen, who was holding Wen Sining's phone, saw that it was Jing Anyu calling and hung up directly. Phones weren't supposed to be on ringtone during the concert anyway, and Wen Sining wouldn't know.

Halfway through the concert, there was a sudden power outage. The concert hall was in an uproar. Wen Sining instinctively grabbed Lu Luochen's arm.

Lu Luochen was quite satisfied with her reaction. He put his arm around her shoulders. "It's okay."

Then, in a voice only they could hear, he said, "Ningning, when will you forgive me? I never had a relationship with Yun Chuchu. You know her child isn't mine. Grandpa also hopes that we can be together. I want to go back to the way we used to be. I didn't cherish you before, but I won't make that mistake again."

After hearing Lu Luochen's words, Wen Sining let go of his arm. She didn't know how to respond for a moment. "I haven't made up my mind yet." She couldn't just give a hasty answer.

"It's okay. I'm willing to wait for you," Lu Luochen said gently.

Soon, the lights in the concert hall came back on. The staff explained that there had been a problem with the circuit, but it had been fixed.

After this little incident, the concert ended smoothly. When they came out, they happened to run into Jing Anyu.

Lu Luochen returned Wen Sining's phone. "Brother Anyu, when did you arrive? Why didn't you tell me?"

"I called you when I got here, but no one answered," Jing Anyu said.

Hearing this, Wen Sining immediately took out her phone and saw that there were indeed many missed calls, all from Jing Anyu. She turned off her phone and gave Lu Luochen a dirty look, but he looked calm, as if he had done nothing wrong.

"I'm sorry, Brother Anyu. I had my phone on silent after I went in, so I didn't answer your calls," Wen Sining said apologetically.

"It's okay," Jing Anyu said. He knew it wasn't Wen Sining's fault. It must have been Lu Luochen's doing.

They happened to be near a restaurant. To show her apology, Wen Sining said, "Brother Anyu, shall we go have dinner together?"

Jing Anyu looked at Lu Luochen and then agreed.

The three of them went to a nearby restaurant. After ordering, Lu Luochen deliberately sat next to Wen Sining and acted very intimate.

Soon, the dishes were served one by one. During the meal, Lu Luochen picked some of Wen Sining's favorite dishes for her.

This made Wen Sining uncomfortable. She secretly pinched Lu Luochen's leg hard.

But he didn't even frown, as if he had no sense of pain. Instead, he asked Wen Sining, "Do you want some dessert?"

Wen Sining shook her head immediately. "No, thanks."

Jing Anyu saw all their little interactions but didn't say anything.

Just as they were about to finish, Jing Anyu received a call. His face immediately turned pale.

Wen Sining noticed something was wrong and asked, "What's wrong, Brother Anyu? Is something wrong? Is there anything I can do to help?"

Jing Anyu seemed to realize that he had overreacted. He tried to look calm and said to Wen Sining, "It's okay. My subordinates just didn't reach an agreement with a company in the negotiation." He didn't want Wen Sining to know about his problems.

Wen Sining knew he was lying. "Okay, Brother Anyu. You should go back to the company to deal with it. I'll go back to the company later."

Jing Anyu nodded.

After Wen Sining left, Lu Luochen said to her, "You're so worried about him?"

"It's none of your business. I'm going back to the company," Wen Sining said as she picked up her bag and was about to leave.

"I'll drive you there," Lu Luochen stood up.

"No, I'll take a taxi. Your car is too eye - catching. I don't want to hear any unfounded rumors in the company," Wen Sining said.

"Don't be afraid," Lu Luochen said indifferently.

Wen Sining didn't want to argue with him. She was worried about Jing Anyu's situation.

In the end, Lu Luochen drove Wen Sining to the company before leaving.

When Wen Sining arrived at the company, she immediately asked her assistant to find out about Jing Anyu's company.

She soon got the results. Looking at the information her assistant gave her, she found out that Jing Anyu's company was facing a funding crisis, which was a fatal blow to a company. If someone took advantage of this opportunity to attack his company, the consequences would be unimaginable.

She also learned that he had originally had a meeting to attend, but he had canceled it to go to the concert with her.

This made Wen Sining feel very bad. If it hadn't been for her, the situation might not have been so bad, and they hadn't even been able to enjoy the concert in the end.
