Chapter 363: Picnic

She told him the location of a restaurant. Only then did Lu Luochen start the car, which merged into the traffic.

Taking advantage of a red light, Lu Luochen glanced at Wen Sining. "Are you not mad at me anymore? I heard from Qiao Xi that you went drinking yesterday because of me. What happened? And why didn't you answer my calls?"

Hearing him bring up what happened yesterday again, Wen Sining immediately said, "Let's just pretend yesterday never happened. Otherwise, I won't talk to you." She threatened him.

"Okay." If she didn't want to talk about it, that was fine. As long as she was okay with him now.

Just like that, they soon arrived at a Chinese restaurant. After they went in, Jing Anyu was already waiting for them in the private room.

"You're finally here. See what you'd like to eat," Jing Anyu said as she pushed the menu over.

Lu Luochen ordered some of Wen Sining's favorite dishes. Sitting beside him, Wen Sining felt a strange sensation well up inside her.

"Lu Luochen, I really owe you this time. If it weren't for you, I definitely wouldn't have solved this so easily," Jing Anyu said sincerely.

Lu Luochen smiled. "It's okay." In fact, the only reason he helped Jing Anyu was because of Wen Sining.

After the meal, Jing Anyu left first. Lu Luochen checked the time and said mysteriously, "It's still early. I'll take you somewhere."

"Where?" Wen Sining was a bit curious.

"Get in the car."

Out of curiosity, Wen Sining got in.

Lu Luochen started the car, and it slowly drove out of the city. Seeing fewer and fewer cars around, Wen Sining couldn't help but ask, "Where on earth are you taking me?"

"What? Are you afraid I'll sell you? Don't worry, I won't do that," Lu Luochen said as he continued to focus on the road ahead.

Wen Sining pouted.

Finally, the car stopped on the road. "We're here," Lu Luochen said.

Wen Sining got out of the car and found there was nothing here but a few scattered streetlights.

"Look ahead," Lu Luochen kindly reminded her.

Wen Sining looked over and was surprised to find they were at the beach.

"How did you know about this place?" she asked in surprise. She had grown up here but had never been here before.

"There are also many people camping down there," he said, pointing down.

Sure enough, Wen Sining saw many tents. She had to admit that this place was really nice.

"Do you want to give it a try?" Lu Luochen asked tentatively.

Wen Sining nodded and then shook her head. "How about we call Qiao Xi and come here together tomorrow?"

Lu Luochen had no objections. The two stayed here for a while longer before driving home.

On the way, Wen Sining called Qiao Xi.

"Hey, Xixi. We're planning to go camping tomorrow. Do you and Feng Jingcheng want to come?"

"Camping? Is it a couples' camping trip?" Feng Jingcheng asked from the side. It was not strange for him to think so. If it weren't for that, Wen Sining probably wouldn't have called him.

Wen Sining was just about to deny it. After all, she and Lu Luochen weren't in that kind of relationship yet. But before she could say anything, Lu Luochen, who was driving beside her, said first, "Yes, so you have to come."

"Okay, I'll definitely go." He considered this his contribution to Lu Luochen's love life.

Wen Sining originally wanted to deny it, but then she thought it was better not to.

Soon, the two got home. Since they had decided on a whim to go camping tomorrow night, Wen Sining made a list after she got home and planned to go shopping tomorrow. She sent the list to Qiao Xi. She definitely couldn't carry all these things by herself, so they had to divide the work. After they divided the tasks, Wen Sining went to bed.

The next day, Wen Sining got up early. She originally planned to go find Lu Luochen to go shopping together after she got up, but Lu Luochen was already waiting for her downstairs.

After she went down, the two went to the biggest mall together.

Since they were going to have a barbecue tonight, they bought a lot of things they needed. When they came out of the mall, they were carrying big and small bags. Thanks to Lu Luochen, Wen Sining only carried a few things.

They put everything in the trunk. After they finished packing up, they drove to the place they had gone to last night.

They originally planned to buy tents, but Lu Luochen said there was a place to rent them there, so they gave up on that idea.

Wen Sining knew it would take a lot of time, so she had brought lunch boxes with her when she left in the morning.

When they got there, Feng Jingcheng and Qiao Xi hadn't arrived yet. The two of them sat in the car and finished their lunch boxes. By the time they were done, it was already afternoon.

Just like before, the physical task of setting up the tents was left to Lu Luochen and Feng Jingcheng, while Wen Sining and Qiao Xi sat on the side and skewered meat in preparation for the barbecue tonight.

"Quick, tell me what happened after Lu Luochen took you home that day," Qiao Xi said, looking very curious.

"Nothing happened. I was so drunk that day," Wen Sining said. Just thinking about what had happened that day made her remember the things she shouldn't have said.

"Although nothing happened, I can clearly feel that your relationship has advanced by leaps and bounds recently," Qiao Xi said. She had a clear feeling that before, Wen Sining didn't even want to see Lu Luochen, but now she was out with him.

"Xixi, can we change the topic?" Wen Sining said helplessly. She really didn't want to talk about this.

"Okay, okay. But this place is really nice. I've never been here before," Qiao Xi said.

"Now that we know about it, we can come here often when we have time."

As the two were chatting, they had skewered quite a lot of meat.

"Do you need our help over there?" Qiao Xi shouted to Feng Jingcheng.

"No." Two tents had already been set up. Since they had set up tents before, it was much easier this time.

Wen Sining looked at the two tents and didn't say anything. Time passed bit by bit, and it got dark. The four of them sat around the grill and had a barbecue.

Lu Luochen put the grilled lamb skewers on Wen Sining's plate. "Eat quickly."

Wen Sining nodded and took a bite. She found the taste was really good, even better than the ones sold outside. "I didn't know you had a talent for barbecuing."

"Of course. If you like it, eat more. Look how thin you've gotten," Lu Luochen said. He wouldn't tell her that because they were going to have a barbecue today, he had practiced many times at home yesterday. Although the fire wasn't the same, the difference wasn't that big. In the end, he found that this way of barbecuing made the meat taste the best.
