Chapter 187: Not the Right Time

Later that day, Soraka Studio had already closed, but the lights inside were still on.

Ding Ruola stared blankly at the stack of documents. She was in need of someone who could handle paperwork to help her revise these documents.

Looking at the densely packed words on the documents, she had no mood at all.

Two women around the girl had already given up their original comfort zones because of their children.

She was thinking about whether children were really that important to a family or an individual.

As she pondered these questions in her mind, her hand holding the pen absent - mindedly drew something on the paper. Due to the muscle memory from previous design drafts, with just a few strokes, it looked like an object.

"Baby, I'm here to pick you up and go home!"

Fang Siyan had just walked into the studio. He noticed that the lights were on, but there was no one in the work area. Then he saw a figure in the studio separated by frosted glass.

Without much thought, he directly pushed the door open. What came into view was Ding Ruola in a daze.

Ding Ruola was startled by Fang Siyan's appearance. The pen in her hand slipped and fell to the ground because of her jolt. Just as she was about to pick it up, Fang Siyan had already squatted down and picked it up for her.

"Old Fang, I'm so stressed out!"

She imitated the posture of a popular online influencer, leaned back on the chair, and covered her face with her arm.

"What's wrong?"

Fang Siyan noticed the documents on Ding Ruola's desk. These documents had all been flipped through. He thought Ding Ruola had already processed them.

"I have a whole stack of documents to deal with. Now that Jiang Chen is on maternity leave, my workload is going to increase again."

Maternity leave. Fang Siyan could hardly believe his ears. He couldn't believe that Jiang Chen was still thinking about raising a child in her situation.

The man's face turned pale and then dark. Ding Ruola couldn't quite understand Fang Siyan's expression.

She was just about to ask if Fang Siyan was hiding something from her.

"I'll ask Zhang Jun to come over!"

Zhang Jun? Ding Ruola thought for a long time before she remembered who the man was talking about.

If Fang Siyan's assistant came to help Ding Ruola, his workload would surely increase too.

Thinking about Fang Siyan shouldering the responsibility of such a big company alone, Ding Ruola felt a bit reluctant.

"You..."

"Don't worry about me. Zhang Jun just runs errands for me. Anybody can do that job."

Fang Siyan wasn't exactly lying. Zhang Jun did just run errands.

Since the man had said so, Ding Ruola didn't feel good about refusing.

Seeing that Ding Ruola had agreed, he called Zhang Jun.

Zhang Jun had no room to refuse. He had seen through the situation. He was just a tool - like laborer.

With the work at Ding Ruola's end settled, a weight was finally lifted off her mind.

Since there were no parking spaces in the community and Fang Siyan's parking space had been occupied by someone else, the two had to park their car far away.

The parking lot was under a supermarket.

"Old Fang, shall we go shopping in the supermarket?"

Fang Siyan thought there was nothing else to do, so going shopping in the supermarket was a good option.

There were few people at the moment. Most importantly, the supermarket had air - conditioning, and the temperature outside was extremely high. The autumn heat was brutal.

"I want to sit in the shopping cart!"

Fang Siyan helplessly lifted Ding Ruola onto the shopping cart. Before Ding Ruola was ready, they were stopped by the staff.

"Sorry, ma'am. Adults are not allowed to sit in the shopping carts."

Ding Ruola stood on the ground awkwardly. She blushed and hid behind Fang Siyan. It was so embarrassing.

She kept hiding behind Fang Siyan, and Fang Siyan let her stick to him as they walked.

Ding Ruola felt that she was really destined to encounter children today. As soon as they entered the supermarket, the baby products area on the first floor was having a big discount.

Was this God's subtle hint for her to have a child?

"Old Fang, look how cute these kids' clothes are!"

Ding Ruola picked up a little pink dress. The pattern on it was delicate, and the workmanship of the dress was also very nice.

Fang Siyan glanced at it and just gave a faint response. He didn't show any other reaction.

He was a bit scared that Ding Ruola would suddenly make that request.

"Let's go! Let's buy some vegetables and go home to have hot pot!"

Fang Siyan tried to distract Ding Ruola's attention with food. But of course, when a woman's maternal love was overflowing, nothing else was attractive to her.

He saw the girl beaming with joy because of these cute little things. The joy in her eyes could hardly be contained.

"Old Fang! Do you like boys or girls?"

"You!"

Fang Siyan understood exactly what Ding Ruola meant, but this was not the right time to consider this matter.

Ding Ruola held a kids' toy in her hand and played with it for a long time.

The salesperson on the side saw this and thought Ding Ruola wanted the toy. She was just about to come over and get a new one for her.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she took a step, Fang Siyan directly dragged Ding Ruola away.

The longer they stayed in this place, the deeper Ding Ruola would sink.

"Old Fang! I want to have a child!"

Fang Siyan didn't say a word. He still dragged Ding Ruola forward.

Ding Ruola looked at the man's back. The man's behavior had already given her the answer.

But she didn't want to believe this fact.

Why didn't Fang Siyan want to raise a little life with her?

On the second floor in the fresh food area, Fang Siyan bought some fresh ingredients.

Ding Ruola leaned against the shopping cart, taking a step and then pausing. She looked lazy.

"Can you give me a reason?"

When Fang Siyan was checking out, Ding Ruola hugged the man's arm.

The man still remained silent. The girl could hear the beeping sound of the electronic scanner, but not Fang Siyan's voice.

After Ding Ruola and Fang Siyan left the supermarket, they hadn't walked far when they saw an old woman who was dancing square - dance holding a child in her arms.

The girl took a glance. She felt that this child melted her heart. She stood there and played with the child for a long time.

"Ruoruo, let's go!"

The name was called affectionately, but the tone was tough, sounding like an order.

The old woman holding the child saw the situation of the two and thought they were a couple, so she said a few more words.

"Young man, you're so handsome, and the young lady is also very beautiful. The child..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Ding Ruola had already been dragged away by the man.

"You're not a sparrow!"

Ding Ruola couldn't keep up with Fang Siyan's joke now.

"Old Fang! I like you, and..."

"Don't mention this matter again in the future!"

Fang Siyan's tone was cold. He didn't seem to care much about this matter.

When they passed by a pharmacy, Fang Siyan stopped.

Ding Ruola stood there stupidly at the door. Fang Siyan came out with an opaque small bag in his hand within five minutes.

"What's this?"

"If you can't stop thinking about it, we can stop it physically."

After Fang Siyan said this, he snatched the things from Ding Ruola's hand and walked towards home.

Ding Ruola already had a rough idea of what was in the bag.

You can buy it with money! I can prick it with a needle!
