"Good morning, Yuanyuan."
As a new day dawned slowly, Jiang Yuan got out of bed to wash up. When she turned on her phone, a reminder popped up in the memo. She opened it and saw the greeting from Chi Xu.
Since they had cleared the air last night, she felt completely at ease. The heavy boulder that had been weighing on her chest was finally removed.
The weak sunlight filtered through the transparent glass and shone on the sink on the tiled counter. After washing her face, Jiang Yuan looked at herself in the mirror with a slight smile on her lips.
The haze that had lingered over her in recent days was almost swept away.
"Yuanyuan, are you done washing your face? Do you want to go together later? I want to buy breakfast in the cafeteria." Lin Suye's mumbled shouts came faintly through the door.
The smile on Jiang Yuan's lips in the mirror immediately disappeared. She pushed open the door and glanced at Lin Suye. "You don't need to wait for me."
She couldn't just forgive Lin Suye and Chi Xu so easily. Otherwise, how could she account for being deceived for almost a semester?
Lin Suye giggled and didn't mind at all. She chattered on animatedly. "Oh, Yuanyuan, I just wanted to wait for you. It's so much better to walk together. I can't bear to leave you alone."
Jiang Yuan glared at her irritably, picked up her books and keys, and walked out. Lin Suye trotted after her, suddenly hugging her arm tightly, which really startled Jiang Yuan. Her eyes widened in surprise, looking quite cute.
"What are you doing!?" Jiang Yuan's panicked shout came out. Lin Suye brazenly dragged Jiang Yuan forward, entered the elevator, and pressed the button for the first floor.
It was still early, and they were the only ones in the elevator.
"Yuanyuan, can I discuss something with you?" Lin Suye bit her lip and looked a bit awkward. She blinked her eyes, while Jiang Yuan stood there expressionlessly, saying nothing.
"Will you please take me out of the blacklist?"
"No." Jiang Yuan refused firmly.
Lin Suye scratched her head in distress, sighed, and murmured to herself, "It seems I need to work harder."
Her voice drifted away in the air. Jiang Yuan didn't catch it clearly. She glanced at Lin Suye suspiciously and suppressed her curiosity, remaining silent.
When they reached the first floor, the elevator "dinged" and opened. Jiang Yuan walked to the door and turned left. A "beep beep" sound came from the right.
Following the sound, she saw Chi Xu straddling his electric scooter. There was breakfast hanging on the handlebar.
"Good morning, Yuanyuan!" Chi Xu took the breakfast hanging on the scooter and waved his right hand high. He was smiling boldly and brightly.
The bright sunlight shone through the atmosphere and landed on his handsome face.
Jiang Yuan's heart skipped a beat involuntarily. She ignored him, turned her head awkwardly, and pretended not to see.
"Oh, Yuanyuan, why are you ignoring me?" Chi Xu's raised hand froze in mid - air. He quickly put it down, jumped off the scooter, and stubbornly stood in front of Jiang Yuan with a smile in his eyes, blocking most of the sunlight.
"Look what breakfast I've brought for you."
"I'm not interested." Jiang Yuan replied irritably.
Chi Xu wasn't discouraged. He opened the bag with the breakfast and read out to her. "There's hot soy milk and crispy fried dough sticks. I remember you used to like to soak the fried dough sticks in the soy milk."
"Look, it's still steaming. It's freshly made. There's no better time to eat it than now."
"I don't want to eat." Jiang Yuan glanced at it and proudly turned her head away again.
He couldn't win her over with just a simple breakfast.
Chi Xu didn't really expect a single breakfast to win her over. Seeing Jiang Yuan with her arms crossed, not looking at him, he simply grabbed the girl's arm and put the bag on it.
"Here, it's for you." The boy raised his lips, his eyes full of smiles.
Seeing that Jiang Yuan still didn't respond, he tiptoed closer. His handsome face suddenly loomed large. Jiang Yuan's eyes widened again, and at the same time, she saw a flash of cunning in the boy's eyes.
Jiang Yuan stamped her foot angrily and raised her voice to shout, "Chi Xu!"
"Yes, I'm here!" Chi Xu answered. His eyes under his long eyelashes were black and bright, somehow resembling the wet eyes of a Samoyed, making Jiang Yuan's heart flutter.
Jiang Yuan was slightly stunned and stared blankly at Chi Xu, her eyes full of his image.
Since they had cleared things up last night, something between her and Chi Xu had quietly changed. It was truly different from before.
It was no longer heavy, depressing, and painful, but bright, splendid, and carefree.
It seemed like they had a bright and grand future.
However, Jiang Yuan remembered that she hadn't fully forgiven Chi Xu. No matter how happy she was, she must hold back. It was Chi Xu's fault for deceiving her for almost a semester.
"Um... Yuanyuan, Chi Xu, you two talk first. I won't disturb you." Lin Suye had been watching them early in the morning and got a mouthful of "dog food". Taking the opportunity, she pitifully squeezed in her left hand and said.

The gentle morning breeze blew through their clothes. Jiang Yuan stood on the steps, while Chi Xu was below, two or three steps away. He could just look her in the eye.
"Yuanyuan, let me take you to Duxing Building?"

"Thanks, I still want to live a long life." Jiang Yuan answered casually and deliberately quickened her pace. Chi Xu immediately followed. Then she slowed down, and Chi Xu also slowed down.
When they were almost at Duxing Building, Chi Xu sighed.
"Yuanyuan, just think of me as that sticky candy that you can't get rid of."
