Chapter 10: The Black Qi Appears Again

The figure of the Dragon King transformed into a human form in mid - air and plummeted rapidly, like a kite with its string cut.

Yaohua's heart tightened.

She cried out in desperation, "Father, Divine Lord Father, let's help Uncle Dragon King!"

What could they do if this continued?

Uncle Dragon King came to help, not to throw his life away. She didn't want Uncle Dragon King to end up like Grandpa Azure Dragon, being put into a box.

Chongming waved a streak of white light that flew straight towards the Dragon King. Just as it was about to reach him, the white light, just like the seed germinating that Yaohua had seen before, stretched out thick white branches that steadily supported the Dragon King's body.

The anxiety in Yaohua's heart immediately subsided.

At this moment, the Dragon King caught his breath and landed steadily on the ground.

"Thank you, Divine Lord Chongming, for saving my life."

Chongming shook his head slightly but said nothing more.

Qingcang paced behind the Dragon King and slowly infused some spiritual power into him.

The Dragon King had done his best to bring rain for the Phoenix Clan. Qingcang really didn't know how to repay him.

Just as he withdrew his hand, the Dragon King said again, "That little seedling has grown much taller. As long as it rains one more time, it should mature."

"This won't do!" Yaohua quickly hugged his arm. "Uncle Dragon King, wait a bit more. You haven't had a good rest yet."

How could such a well - behaved and sensible little girl not be liked?

The Dragon King showed the look of wanting to snatch a daughter again.

"It's all right. Uncle has rested well. I'm sure I can succeed this time."

He promised Yaohua that he would help, so he was determined to do it. Therefore, he transformed back into his original form and flew into the clouds.

"What shall we do!" Yaohua looked miserable. "Uncle Dragon King's spiritual power hasn't recovered at all!"

"It's all right," Chongming said slowly. "The Dragon King is a man of his word. Since that's the case, let's set up a spiritual - gathering formation to give him a hand."

"Please give us your instructions, Divine Lord Chongming," Qingcang bowed quickly.

"Please follow me." Chongming arranged several young phoenix deities of the Phoenix Clan in different positions. Then, taking himself as the eye of the formation, he started to cast spells.

Several streams of spiritual energy shot straight into the sky but suddenly twisted into one in mid - air and poured into the body of the Dragon King who was making rain.

This sudden assistance made the Dragon King feel completely at ease.

He tumbled through the air with ease. In just a few breaths, heavy rain began to pour from the sky.

In this hard - won rainfall, the little seedling grew rapidly, sprouting branches and leaves.

"Strange. Why is this little seedling growing so big?"

Yaohua was concentrating on Uncle Dragon King's movements. Hearing the exclamation of her clansman, she looked back.

A dense little forest had grown behind her!

She was both surprised and delighted. Watching as the branches gradually blossomed with bright flowers and then bore fruit in the gasps of the crowd.

"They're immortal peaches!"

Looking at the heavy fruits on the trees, someone was overjoyed.

"It's actually an immortal peach tree!"

"Little Princess is amazing! She actually found the seed of an immortal peach tree!"

After the rain - making was over and the sky cleared, the Dragon King landed on the ground. Looking at the fruitful forest, he immediately opened his eyes in disbelief.

The immortal peaches of the Celestial Realm had never grown in the mortal world.

Before he could think further, Yaohua had skipped over with a fruit in her hand.

"Uncle Dragon King, you've worked hard. Try this. It smells so sweet!"

The Dragon King held the fruit in his hands, both surprised and delighted. Just as he was about to take a bite, a sudden dizziness came over him. The fruit in his hand rolled to the ground, and he fell forward.

"Uncle Dragon King!"

Yaohua quickly tried to support him, but at this moment, a puff of black qi came from afar.

She instinctively blocked in front of the Dragon King.

The familiar red light exploded from her chest, filling her vision.

She suddenly opened her eyes wide, and her small body slowly slipped in front of the Dragon King.

...

"Uncle, be careful!"

Yaohua waved her little hands and suddenly opened her eyes.

In sight, Chongming, Qingcang, the Dragon King, and several of her little brothers were all crowded around her small bed, looking at her warily.

"Yaoyao, my dear daughter, you scared me to death!" Seeing her wake up, Qingcang immediately let out a sigh of relief.

Several brothers also gathered around to ask about her well - being, one after another, afraid that their sister was still not feeling well.

Poor Yaohua, just waking up, was already dizzy from their nagging.

"Brothers, please stop for a while," Yaohua rubbed her head weakly.

The voices of the brothers stopped abruptly, and they looked at her worriedly.

The Dragon King examined her carefully. Seeing that she seemed all right, he said guiltily, "It's all Uncle's fault. I was too stubborn and ended up dragging little Yaohua into this."

This wasn't Uncle's problem at all! If it weren't for Uncle Dragon King coming to help, those fruits wouldn't have grown.

Moreover, the black qi had nothing to do with Uncle either.

"Uncle, please don't say that," Yaohua shook her head. "It was the black qi and the red light that made me faint. It has nothing to do with you."

"Black qi? Red light? What are those?" Qingcang, who had just calmed down, immediately became tense. "Yaoyao, what exactly happened just now?"

Chongming's eyes drooped slightly, and he also looked at Yaohua curiously.

This wasn't the first time the little phoenix had mentioned the black qi and the red light.

In the Dragon Clan, the little phoenix had mentioned it once too. But just like this time, they hadn't seen anything.

Yaohua sighed. "When I walked over with the immortal peach in my hand, I saw a puff of black qi rushing towards me from afar. It just hit me right here." She pointed to her chest. "Then I saw a streak of red light fly out, and I fainted."

"Strange," Qingcang was extremely puzzled. "We've been nearby all the time, but we didn't see any black qi or red light."

"Yeah, maybe you're just hungry and seeing things, little sister."

As soon as Mo Qingyi, the least reliable sixth brother, opened his mouth, he was covered by the other brothers and dragged away.

"Divine Lord Father!" Yaohua looked at Chongming, hoping that he would speak up for her, because she really wasn't seeing things due to hunger. She had seen them in the Dragon Clan too.

"There may be something hidden in this matter," Chongming said slowly. "Before I figure it out, I hope you all won't say anything."

Chongming's authority was well - established. Since he had spoken, the others naturally wouldn't refuse.

However, they still doubted this matter and just thought that Yaohua was having hallucinations.

Feng Jing walked out smilingly with a plate of peaches that were white with a hint of red. "All right, since there's nothing wrong, Yaoyao, try the immortal peach quickly."

Yaohua's eyes immediately lit up. "Thank you, Second Brother!"

Before taking a bite, Yaohua smelled the strong fragrance of the peach. She couldn't wait to take a bite, and the full juice immediately filled her mouth.

Wow, it was so delicious!

She took several more bites in succession and felt so happy that she seemed to be flying.

Just as she was immersed in the joy of the immortal peach, the voices of her clansmen suddenly came from outside.

"Clan Chief, something terrible has happened!"
