Chapter 63: Mo Qing’s Disappearance

"None of you are allowed to leave!"

The pheasant girl was overbearing. As she spoke, she stretched out her arm horizontally to block them.

The elder brothers, out of deference for her being a girl, tried to avoid conflict but were blocked inside the door and couldn't get out.

Helplessly, they could only turn their pleading gazes to Yaohua.

"Sister, Brother Six has urgent matters at hand. Once things are resolved, our Phoenix Clan will surely give you an explanation." Yaohua tried her best to look as sincere as possible, her bright eyes fixed on the young girl.

"Is that true?" The pheasant girl was skeptical. She sized Yaohua up and down. "Can I trust your words?"

"Of course!" Yaohua puffed out her chest. "You can rest assured. With me around, no one can renege on their debt. Come, tell me in detail how you met Brother Six."

It was common knowledge in the Three Realms that the Phoenix Clan rarely had a beloved daughter. The pheasant girl was no exception. After a moment's hesitation, she slowly showed a smile. "That's good then."

Just as Yaohua pulled her out of the door, the door closed tightly behind them. She instinctively looked back and saw a faint light from the formation seeping through the window paper. It seemed that the false god was quite cooperative.

As they stepped down the stairs, the pheasant girl suddenly said, "Since you've said so, I'll give you this face."

Her eyes sparkled. "I came at a bad time today. I'll come back tomorrow instead."

At this moment, Yaohua was preoccupied with what was happening in the room. Hearing what the girl said, she immediately agreed. "Of course. Everyone in our Phoenix Clan is reasonable."

Seemingly reassured by the confirmation, the pheasant girl quickly left.

Inside the room, the light from the formation flickered, and there were faint sounds of thunder and clashing weapons. The demonic qi from the formation's operation was faintly discernible. To prevent Yaohua from being affected, the elder brothers shielded her behind them.

After a while, the light disappeared, presumably indicating the end of the formation.

Thinking of Brother Six's lively appearance on normal days, Yaohua couldn't help but smile.

Bang!

A sudden noise from the room made everyone's hearts skip a beat.

"Maybe we should go in and take a look?"

Junxi, who was usually the closest to Mo Qing, paced restlessly in place. After hearing the noise, his eyebrows furrowed even more tightly.

Chongming, standing outside the crowd, suddenly raised his downcast eyes.

There was another wave of demonic qi that had suddenly appeared in the room!

While everyone was still hesitating, he gracefully landed in front of the room.

Creak—

Chongming pushed open the door.

Everyone fell silent immediately and looked into the room.

The once magnificent and spacious room looked as if it had been ransacked. Luxurious items were scattered messily on the floor, and even the calligraphy and paintings on the walls had been slashed by a sharp blade.

Yaohua caught her breath and ran over quickly. In the middle of the room, there were countless black formation patterns drawn on the floor, but for some reason, the strokes suddenly became chaotic halfway through, as if someone had interrupted the process.

She stood there in a daze for a long time before coming to her senses. "Brother Six... is gone."

When they walked out of the room, Mo Qing was still in a coma. There was no way he could have left on his own!

For a moment, the uncertainty of Mo Qing's fate weighed heavily on everyone's hearts like a boulder.

"It must be the work of the Demon Clan!" Junxi's veins bulged on his forehead. Gritting his teeth, he suddenly left the room. Flames blazed from his wings as he flew straight out of the Danyaoshan Mountain.

"Brother Three!" Yaohua chased after him, but Junxi disappeared from sight as soon as her voice fell.

"Junxi can't leave the Phoenix Clan." Feng Jing seemed calm, but Yaohua noticed that he had clenched his fists. "I'll go and bring him back."

"The Phoenix Clan and the Pheasant Clan are far apart, one in the south and the other in the north. How could Mo Qing have met that pheasant girl just now?" Chongming's gaze was fixed on Yanling.

Yanling quickly understood. "Thank you, Your Highness, for the hint."

The elder brothers left one after another, leaving Yaohua alone, feeling frustrated. She also wanted to help, but the elder brothers told her to stay by her master's side in case the Demon Clan attacked and they couldn't take care of her.

She lowered her head, looking dejectedly at her toes.

"It's all my fault. If it weren't for me, Brother Six wouldn't have been captured by the false god."

If only she hadn't been so playful and dragged Brother Six to make dough figurines.

If they hadn't made dough figurines, Brother Six wouldn't have been targeted by the false god.

A sigh came from above, and a large hand stroked her head.

"Mo Qing will be fine."

Tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down like beads, hitting the back of her hand. Yaohua wiped them with the back of her hand, but the more she wiped, the more tears there were. "If only I hadn't persuaded the pheasant girl to leave just now!"

The pheasant girl lived so far away, and Brother Six rarely went out. When would he have had the time to meet her?

She must be a spy for the false god!

Chongming squatted down and wiped away her tears. The tears were hot. He paused for a moment before continuing. "It's not your fault that others are cunning and take advantage of your kindness."

Surrounded by the faint fragrance on her master, Yaohua gradually felt a sense of peace. She looked up with tearful eyes. "Really?"

With such clear eyes that had nothing to do with the filth in the world, Chongming instinctively nodded.

"Your master won't lie to you."

Although Yaohua was barely comforted, the thought of her missing elder brother made her expression turn gloomy again. "Brother Six must be suffering a lot. He's always been so delicate. Even a small scratch on his hand would make him cry out for a long time."

"Your master will find him for you." After a long silence, Chongming finally spoke.

Just as he finished speaking, there was a faint rumbling of thunder in the sky.

"Ding—Congratulations to the host for obtaining the demonic qi of the false god. Unlock one paddy field and one bag of rice seeds. You can plant one mu of rice. Receiving the gratitude of the people in Henan Prefecture, the host's faith power increases by 1. Unlock one plot of land. You can plant two mu of potatoes. May the host continue to work hard!"

Before Yaohua could recover from the shock of Mo Qing's disappearance, the system suddenly appeared.

And there was an extra black stone in her hand.

"What is this?"

Yaohua stroked the smooth stone and stared blankly.

"A stone condensed from the demonic qi of the false god. It can be used as fertilizer for the planting land."

"Can demonic qi be used as fertilizer?"

If so, did it mean that the more demons she captured, the more fertile the land would become?

"That's right." There seemed to be a hint of warmth in the system's usually cold voice. "May the host cheer up and continue to work hard."

After saying that, the system disappeared completely.

Hearing the system's words, Yaohua felt a slight warmth in her heart.

It seemed that by capturing demons, not only could she avenge her elder brother, but she could also obtain more fertilizer. In this way, there would never be a shortage of food in the Three Realms!

Yaohua buried her head in her master's arms. The heavy frustration gradually turned into a burning fighting spirit. She grabbed her master's collar and slowly looked up. "Does master have any clues?"

"Would you like to go with me to the Pheasant Clan to take a look?"

Thinking of the pheasant girl who had appeared so opportunely just now, Yaohua gritted her teeth. "I'd be delighted."
