"After this great disaster, Cangyan Mountain has lost its mountain god. Since there's no one to guard this place for now, you shall stay here and keep watch."
Rong Chu had always been doing good deeds across the Divine Land. Staying here wouldn't be a bad idea, so he readily agreed.
In the Celestial Realm, inside the Cangling Hall.
Yaohua carefully held the clay pot in her hands. Inside, a dying silver dragon was curled up. As the water in the pot rippled, it gradually stretched out its body bit by bit.
There was a spring behind the Cangling Hall. Yaohua crouched beside the spring and, taking advantage of the rippling water, placed the Dragon King into the spring.
The silver dragon, which was originally only as thin as a chopstick, instantly returned to its normal size upon entering the spring.
It lay quietly in the spring with its eyes tightly closed. If it weren't for the slight rise and fall of its body, Yaohua would have even suspected it was dead.
Yaohua sighed dejectedly. They were still a step too late. Otherwise, Uncle Dragon King wouldn't have ended up in such a state.
"Little fairy, this is the floral nectar specially ordered by the god for you. Come and have a taste quickly!"
A hint of doubt flashed through Yaohua's mind. When they returned, her master had entrusted Uncle Nanfeng to her and left in a hurry to report on the matter of the Heavenly Demon. When would he have the time to tell the celestial maid to prepare the celestial nectar for her?
Yaohua looked up. Not far away, a celestial maid was holding a glazed cup. "Thank you. Just leave it there. I'll drink it later."
There was a barrier around the spring, and outsiders couldn't get in. Yaohua could only ask her to leave the floral nectar on the stone table outside first.
"Fairy, this celestial nectar was just collected. It tastes better when drunk while it's fresh." The celestial maid smiled and gently urged her.
Yaohua responded, and her gaze slowly fell on the celestial maid's face.
Although she hadn't been here for two years, she was familiar with all the celestial maidens in the Cangling Hall. Why did she have no impression of this one at all?
"Are you new here?"
"I'm just transferred from another palace."
The celestial maid stood in front of her with her head bowed obediently. Her actions were so proper that there was no flaw to be found.
It seemed that she was being overly suspicious.
Yaohua nodded, stepped out of the range of the spring, and took the glazed cup from her hand.
The floral nectar today seemed to have a familiar smell, but she couldn't quite remember where she had smelled it before.
She casually placed it on the stone table. When she turned around, she was startled.
The celestial maid had quietly followed behind her like a ghost.
"What are you still doing here?"
"Please forgive me, little fairy!" The celestial maid knelt on the ground in a hurry. "I thought I'd take the glazed cup away after you've finished the floral nectar so as not to disturb you later."
"I really don't want to drink it now." Yaohua thought for a moment. "Then you can take it away now. I'll explain it to my master."
"Please don't let the god down on his good intentions."
Yaohua frowned tightly. Her master had never forced her to do anything, especially such a small thing. Did this celestial maid misunderstand her master's intention, or was she simply not from the Cangling Hall?
"Alright." Yaohua thought for a while and picked up the glazed cup again. "I usually drink floral nectar on the parasol tree."
As she spoke, she walked further away from the spring.
The parasol tree was near the front hall. Yaohua flew up onto it. Looking at the celestial maid standing under the tree, she couldn't figure out how she had sneaked into the Cangling Hall for a long time.
She used a simple illusion technique, poured the floral nectar in her hand into her sleeve, pretended to wipe her mouth, and showed the empty glazed cup to the celestial maid. "I've finished drinking. Go and report back to my master."
The celestial maid stretched out her hands and took the glazed cup.
Just at this moment, a phoenix fire suddenly swept towards her face.
The celestial maid quickly took two steps back and conjured a fan in her hand to block Yaohua's attack.
Yaohua jumped down from the tree and smiled at her. "Guards! There's a spy sneaked in!"
She had made an excuse to leave the spring before because she was worried that this person would do harm to Uncle Nanfeng. Now that she was outside, she naturally didn't have to worry about anything.
Hearing Yaohua's voice, there soon came a commotion from the Cangling Hall. Even the supervisor of the Cangling Hall, who was often nowhere to be seen, ran out.
"Little princess, are you alright?"
The supervisor looked at Yaohua seriously. She was the god's precious treasure. If anything happened to her, he couldn't bear the responsibility.
"Uncle Supervisor, I'm fine." Yaohua shook her head. She looked at the celestial maid surrounded by the heavenly soldiers. "This person is acting suspiciously. Please trouble Uncle Supervisor."
"This is my duty."
The supervisor looked extremely unhappy. He had been in charge of the Cangling Hall for many years, and this was the first time someone had sneaked in and almost harmed the god's precious little princess. This was simply an insult to him.
"Little princess, you must be scared. Go inside the hall and rest first."
Yaohua didn't decline. She turned around and was about to leave when a cold wind suddenly swept towards her from behind.
Yaohua was startled and quickly tried to summon the phoenix fire. But before the phoenix fire could be summoned, a cold hand grabbed her neck.
"Bold! Let go of the little princess quickly!"
The supervisor lost his previous calmness and stared at the hand in panic.
Yaohua frowned and looked up. When she saw the face of the person, her eyes almost popped out.
"It's you!"
"Yes, it's me, little princess." The person showed a flamboyant smile and reached out her other hand to pat Yaohua's cheek. "I haven't seen you for two years, and the little princess has grown even more beautiful."
Yaohua never expected that the person who had sneaked into the Cangling Hall would be an old acquaintance of hers, Dian Zhu, the daughter of the former chief of the Pheasant Clan.
"What do you want? This isn't a place for you to come!" Although Yaohua had once suspected that she had seriously injured herself and sneaked into the Demon Realm to save Qihua's life, being grabbed by the neck in front of everyone didn't feel good at all.
"I've come to take something. I'm sure the little princess won't be stingy." Dian Zhu said softly, but her eyes glanced at the supervisor. "Grand Supervisor is a smart man. If you come any closer to me, I'll strangle this phoenix and die with her."
The supervisor was both shocked and angry but didn't dare to say a word because Yaohua's life was in the other person's hands.
"What do you want?" As soon as Yaohua moved her neck slightly, Dian Zhu tightened her hand.
"Don't make any small moves, or I'll break your neck!"
Yaohua didn't dare to move. She had already seen how ruthless Dian Zhu could be.
"Take me to the spring!"
There was a barrier around the spring, and only those permitted by the god could get close. Since Yaohua wasn't beside the spring, the barrier would automatically close.
At this moment, there was only Uncle Nanfeng in the spring.
Yaohua's heart sank. It seemed that all of Dian Zhu's schemes were focused on Uncle Nanfeng.
They walked to the outside of the spring before Dian Zhu stopped. "Cut out the dragon pearl for me."
"You're crazy!"
Only a dragon with high spiritual power could condense a dragon pearl, and currently, among the entire dragon clan, only Uncle Nanfeng had one!
Cutting out the dragon pearl would be equivalent to turning Uncle Nanfeng back to his original form!
