Chapter 37: The Infatuated Man

The carriage stopped in front of the Liu Mansion. Zuitao went to call a servant from the mansion. The servant brought an umbrella and a sedan chair to help Liu Yushu out of the carriage.

"Thank you, Young Master Zhao, for today," Liu Yushu said with a polite smile as she thanked Zhao Qin.

"You're too kind, Miss Liu. I'll take my leave now." Zhao Qin bowed his hands and then got back into the carriage. The carriage drove to the side. He lifted the curtain on the carriage window and stared at Liu Yushu's figure infatuatedly. It wasn't until the main gate of the Liu Mansion closed and he could no longer see the beauty's graceful figure that his carriage slowly drove away.

Inside the carriage, Zhao Qin was extremely excited. He looked at the handkerchief that she had used to wipe her feet and without hesitation covered his face with it. He closed his eyes and sniffed carefully, looking extremely intoxicated. Half of his body went limp in the carriage. "So fragrant. What on earth is Miss Liu made of? Even her feet are so fragrant."

When Zhao Qin got home, he happily clutched the handkerchief and went back to his room. A woman in a bright red dress rushed towards him and said in a soft and gentle voice, "Second Master, why did you come back so late? Your clothes are all wet. Let me change them for you." As she said this, the woman's small hands undid Zhao Qin's belt. "Master, I've missed you so much. I was so bored when you weren't around."

The red - dressed woman was named He Caiwei. She was Zhao Qin's concubine, and Zhao Qin hadn't taken a main wife yet.

He Caiwei smiled coquettishly. Normally, Zhao Qin would have been interested, but when he looked down and saw He Caiwei's feet, he frowned deeply. The passion in his heart was instantly extinguished. He grabbed her wrist and pushed her away. "Get out of the way. Don't bother me."

His mind filled with the image of Liu Yushu's feet, and he began to feel extremely excited again. Zhao Qin didn't even bother to change his clothes. He lay on the couch and covered his face with the handkerchief.

When He Caiwei saw his expression, she immediately understood that he must have been captivated by some woman outside. She bit her lips angrily and jumped onto the couch defiantly, clinging to him. "Second Master, it's cold today because of the rain. Please warm me up." She reached out her hand and disdainfully threw the handkerchief on his face to the ground.

"Get out of here, crazy woman. You're never allowed to touch me again." Zhao Qin flew into a rage, quickly got off the couch, and picked up the handkerchief.

"Second Master, it's just a handkerchief. Why do you care so much?" As soon as He Caiwei finished speaking, she was kicked off the couch by Zhao Qin. Zhao Qin stared at her impatiently and scolded, "You don't understand anything. A cheap thing like you could be reborn and die dozens of times and still not be worth this handkerchief." He picked He Caiwei up horizontally and threw her out of the door forcefully. He Caiwei was thrown so hard that she felt like her bones were about to break. She got up shamefully and embarrassedly. Along the way, many servants saw her and gossiped about her. She lost a great deal of face.

Zhao Qin didn't even regard He Caiwei as a human being, so he naturally didn't care about her dignity.

"Second brother, what's going on with you this time? Even if you dislike He Caiwei, she's still a woman. How could you just kick her out like that? You're being too outrageous," Zhao Qin's elder brother, Zhao Zhui, saw this scene and thought that Zhao Qin had gone too far.

Zhao Qin seemed not to hear him. He stared blankly at the handkerchief in his hand. "If you think she's pitiful, you can take her in," he said indifferently.

"You scoundrel!" Zhao Zhui roared angrily. He turned around to pick up a stick and hit Zhao Qin on the shoulder with it. "You scoundrel. You have no human feelings at all."

"Stop hitting him, Brother. Maybe Uncle was in a bad mood because he got caught in the rain. Don't argue with him," Zhao Zhui's wife, Gu Baiyue, came out to stop him. Otherwise, with Zhao Zhui's strength, he would surely beat Zhao Qin to a pulp.

"Didn't you see how outrageous he was just now? I'm going to teach him a lesson on behalf of Father and show him how to be a decent person," Zhao Zhui growled angrily.

"I'll handle He Caiwei. Do you really want to beat your younger brother to death before you're satisfied?" Gu Baiyue managed to persuade Zhao Zhui to leave after much coaxing.

On the contrary, Zhao Qin didn't even feel the pain of the stick. He seemed to be in a trance, staring blankly at the handkerchief that Liu Yushu had used to wipe her feet. He closed the door, lay on the couch, and pressed the handkerchief against his face. In his mind, he recalled Liu Yushu's peerlessly beautiful face and her fair and delicate feet.

She seemed so soft and smelled so good. He couldn't help but want to kiss her. Thinking of this, Zhao Qin stuck out his tongue and licked the handkerchief. He gasped for breath, looking extremely disgusting.

"Miss Liu..." he groaned in a low voice. His body went limp on the couch. Then he showed a regretful expression and slapped himself. He felt guilty for having so obscenely desecrated Miss Liu, who was like a divine being.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Zhao Qin rolled his eyes and sat up warily. A man in a black cloak came up to him and threw a black silk bag on the ground. The gold inside scattered out.

This man was the one who had tried to assassinate Wu Chunzhe in the rain. He was a killer that Zhao Qin had hired from the martial world with a large amount of money.

Zhao Qin got angry and pointed at the man. "I paid you to do the job, not to just put on a show. You ugly freak. Why didn't you kill Wu Chunzhe just now?"

The cloaked man's eyes flashed with cold light. He suddenly turned his head, and the cloak on his head slipped off, revealing his face. His face was covered with scary black spots. He stared at Zhao Qin and warned word by word, "I'm returning your money. I won't listen to you anymore. If you dare to insult me one more word, I'll kill your whole family."

Zhao Qin was so scared that he didn't dare to say a word. He watched helplessly as the man disappeared in a flash.

Wu Qing was walking on the street. He stood in a puddle and looked at his reflection in the water. He clenched his fists, and a bitter hatred flashed in his eyes. He hated Liu Yushu for ruining him!

What made him even more angry was that she was entangled with two men. Moreover, when they looked at each other today, she didn't recognize him, the ugly freak that she had created with her own hands!

Thinking of this, Wu Qing felt a surge of blood in his chest. He vomited a mouthful of blood and fainted on the side of the road in a daze.
