Chapter 2: He Peed

Didn't she tell him to follow her just now? Why was she now looking at him in a questioning way? Was there something wrong?

"Just now..." Facing the woman's slightly changed expression, Shu Yao didn't know what to say. He scratched his head and his eyes kept wandering over the baby in her arms.

Seeing Shu Yao's look, the woman understood. He was worried about the baby in her arms, so he had recklessly followed her into the house without considering the difference between genders.

Thinking of this, the woman's expression gradually softened. Then she said softly, "The baby is hungry. I'll go in and breastfeed him. You wait outside."

Hearing the woman's words, Shu Yao subconsciously took a few steps back towards the door. But after taking a few steps, he somehow stopped. He tilted his head and asked in confusion, "What is breast milk? How do you feed it to him?"

The woman's expression changed slightly. She gave him a look as if he were an alien. Then seeing that Shu Yao still looked confused, she stepped forward and pushed him out without giving him a chance to refuse. Then she quickly closed the door and muttered to herself, "A young man like you doesn't learn well. Go ask your wife."

He heard a new term, "wife". He had read about it in a storybook. That young master Li called Du Shiniang his wife, but in the end he abandoned her and sold her to someone else, which forced Du Shiniang to drown herself in the lake.

That wife had such a tragic end. What about his wife? While thinking about this, Shu Yao suddenly slapped his head. He didn't have a wife yet. What was he thinking about? Since the woman said he should ask his wife, his wife must know what breast milk was. If the baby cried again in the future, he could find a wife to soothe the baby.

While thinking, Shu Yao actually smiled foolishly. After a while, the woman came out after feeding the baby. As soon as the door opened, she saw Shu Yao looking so silly.

The woman sighed with a lot of feelings. He had vulgar words and strange behaviors. Could it be that something bad had happened to his family that made such a handsome and elegant young man become so abnormal?

But Shu Yao was completely unaware. He still smiled stupidly.

In the evening, Aunt Li was cooking in the house for her children who came back late. Shu Yao was idle, so he offered to help her cook. At first, Aunt Li just looked at him curiously. She thought it was incredible that this seemingly silly young master in distress could do such rough work. Then she still made room for Shu Yao and waited for him to start.

When Shu Yao got started, he realized that he had to start a fire to cook. Fire was his natural enemy. It would burn as soon as it touched something. So when he was about to put the firewood in, he hesitated.

The firewood in his hand used to be a spiritual tree growing in the mountains just like him. He had accidentally cultivated into a human form, while this firewood had been cut down by mortals to be used as fuel. He couldn't help but feel a bit bitter.

While thinking, he lost his concentration. The firewood was placed at the mouth of the stove but didn't go in for a long time. A few sparks slowly drifted out with the hot air, making Shu Yao's black pupils shine brightly.

Shu Yao hesitated. He was still half - squatting in front of the stove. He didn't notice that a spark had quietly drifted onto his sleeve.

After a while, he smelled a burning smell. Before he could find out where it came from, he heard Aunt Li scream.

Shu Yao turned his head and saw Aunt Li pointing at his sleeve with a trembling finger and saying, "Y - young man, your sleeve is on fire. Quickly pour water on it to put it out."

Shu Yao thought the basin of yellow oil beside him was water, so he poured it all over his sleeve. Unexpectedly, the fire got even stronger after he poured it. He had to run towards the lake outside the house.

After running to the lake, he fell head - first into it. The fire was immediately put out, but he became a complete drowned rat.

Shu Yao climbed out of the lake and walked to the kitchen in a sorry state. He gave Aunt Li an embarrassed smile.

Aunt Li was still in shock. She patted her chest and shivered as she drove Shu Yao out and told him to take care of the baby, saying that she could handle the cooking by herself.

Shu Yao felt sorry for the first time. He had wanted to help, but instead he had caused a fire and almost burned down the kitchen.

After thinking about it, he turned around and left. He found a hidden place and used his magic to change into a clean set of clothes.

Unfortunately, the baby could see where Shu Yao was changing his clothes. Although the baby didn't know what it was, he still giggled when he saw it.

It was the baby's instinctive laugh.

After Shu Yao changed his clothes and entered the room, he saw the baby laughing non - stop. So he walked to the bed, pinched the baby's face, then picked him up and held him in his arms to play with.

"Why are you laughing so happily?" He scraped the baby's little nose. It felt extremely soft, and Shu Yao felt an indescribable sense of comfort.

He then grabbed the baby's little hand. It was as soft as the face, just like grabbing a ball of cotton. Shu Yao's heart was almost melted.

It was a very harmonious and warm scene - a beautiful young man kept playing with the baby in his arms, and the baby opened his little mouth and kept giggling as if to respond to his play. But the next moment, Shu Yao's upper body suddenly became wet, and even his sleeves were stained. The clothes he had just changed were ruined by this pee.

It turned out that the little guy had planned it for a long time. He laughed so happily just to make Shu Yao relax his guard.

Shu Yao helplessly put the little guy down, stood up straight, pulled open his sleeve to look at the large amount of water stains, and then looked at the little chubby baby who was still laughing non - stop. As if blaming the little guy for his carelessness, he gave him a hard look, then went out helplessly to ask Aunt Li where he could take a bath.

He carried in a wooden bucket. After the hot water was ready, he poured it into the bucket. Then Shu Yao untied his belt, took off his outer clothes, and slowly sat down.

He closed his eyes and slowly recalled what had happened today... Come to think of it, this little son was quite similar to him when he was a child.

Once, he had also accidentally peed on someone. At that time, he was still a little tree spirit and hadn't cultivated into a human form yet, so he could only be at the mercy of others.

He only remembered that day...

"Why do you always pick at the bark? The teacher said we're not allowed to pick at the bark. Trees are alive. They will feel pain," a little girl stood in front of a little boy with her hands on her hips and said.

"Trees are not alive. Look, I can pick at it and it doesn't even make a sound."

Shu Yao rolled his eyes. If he could make a sound, he would have shouted already. This kid was really talking without knowing the pain. Let him pick off a piece of his skin and see how he felt?

While the boy was picking at the bark, Shu Yao felt like peeing. He was originally sensitive, and couldn't stand being picked at like this. So after the boy picked at it for a while, Shu Yao peed.

When the boy saw the liquid flowing out of the tree, he thought it was something new. He actually stretched out his finger, dipped some of it, and put it into his mouth.

After tasting it, the boy frowned. It was astringent, bitter, and had a strange smell, just like...

He wasn't satisfied with just tasting it himself. He dipped some more and let the little girl beside him taste it.

At first, the little girl was very disgusted, but she couldn't resist her curiosity. After a struggle, she still stuck out her tongue and licked it.

After licking it, she had the same reaction as the boy.

Shu Yao closed his eyes shyly. He had actually peed in front of mortals, and those two mortals had actually eaten... his pee.
