Chapter 31 Reconciliation

The more he tried not to think about those terrible things, the more they flooded into his mind. But time didn't allow him to doubt. He stuffed the peach kernel cake into his pocket and went to find Shu Yao.

The deeper he went into the mountains, the more boundless the forest became. Surrounded by lush greenery and layer upon layer of mountains, a fierce beast might jump out at any moment if he wasn't careful.

Shu Yue was running wildly through the dense forest while shouting "Father". There was nothing more terrifying than this moment. He was afraid of losing Shu Yao.

Passing by dangerous terrains and passing through the intricate tree canopies, a cry for help came into Shu Yue's sensitive ears in the quietness.

Shu Yue suddenly stopped. The lingering sound echoing in his ears was so familiar and panicked that he was sure it was Shu Yao!

"It's Father." He quickened his pace and ran quickly in the direction of the sound. Finally, he found the source of the sound in a cave.

Inside the cave, Shu Yao was cornered by a young Taoist priest. His clothes were torn by the priest, exposing a patch of fair skin on his neck. His fingernails were broken from the struggle, and the sharp corner of a stone beside him had also cut his fair arm.

"You beasts, don't touch me!" He bit hard on the hand of the Taoist priest who pounced on him. His stubborn and beautiful eyes glinted coldly, and his blood - red lips set off a coquettish and cold charm on his face.

"Shit, it hurts like hell!" The young Taoist priest cursed. His face suddenly changed, and he bared his teeth ferociously.

Shu Yao remained as cold and aloof as ever. Even his aloofness couldn't conceal his elegance and refinement.

"I don't believe I can't handle you today." Another Taoist priest quickly took off his clothes and stretched out his evil hand towards the cold and unyielding Shu Yao.

Shu Yao had no choice but to use his magic. Just as he was about to do so, the young Taoist priest approaching him covered his head and let out a painful wail, then fell to the ground.

In front of him, a tall man stood heroically. His appearance was extremely handsome. The heroic air between his eyebrows and the cold glint in his eyes were as cold as the moon, making him inviolable.

Shu Yao was stunned. How did Shu Yue know he was in danger?

The other young Taoist priest saw his companion injured. When he saw the man, he was panicked by his cold and fierce eyes. "Who, who are you? How dare you ruin our good deed!"

This man's aura was too powerful. Just one look into his deep eyes was like falling into an ice cellar.

Shu Yue remained calm, with a faint sneer on his lips. He took off his black robe and draped it over Shu Yao, wrapping his thin body tightly so that no one could peek at Father's body anymore.

He just gave a reassuring and calm look, and Shu Yao's fear instantly dissipated without a trace.

"Those who dare to touch mine, all go to hell!" His sonorous and powerful voice landed. Each word was like an ice chip hitting the heads of the two young Taoist priests.

Before they even started to fight, they felt that they had already been completely defeated.

However, before they could speak, a black shadow quickly came in front of them. A whirlwind passed by their ears, accompanied by a buzzing tinnitus and dizziness. The two of them fell to the ground one after another, covering their kicked heads in pain.

Shu Yue's movements were so fast that before they could even react, his feet were already in front of their ears.

But that wasn't enough. Shu Yue walked directly over, easily picked up one with each hand. The thin young Taoist priests were like little chicks in the strong Shu Yue's hands.

Without saying a word, Shu Yue's eyes were as deep as an abyss. He slammed the two men's heads against the wall fiercely without showing any mercy.

The pain in the back of their heads made the two Taoist priests wail. Although they were indignant in their hearts, they still begged bitterly for their lives. "M, master, please show mercy. We were wrong. Please spare us."

"It's too late to admit your mistakes now." His calm and deep voice was cold enough to shatter people's bones.

"Master, please wait. We really know we're wrong. Please spare us."

"Shu Yue, spare them." As kind - hearted as Shu Yao was, he finally couldn't bear it and slowly spoke up.

Shu Yue always listened to his father. His cold and sword - like eyes penetrated the two Taoist priests. Suddenly, he let go, and the two of them fell to the ground.

He clapped his dirty hands and looked down at them from a height. "You're lucky today. I'll spare your dog lives."

The two Taoist priests kowtowed repeatedly. "Thank you, master, for sparing our lives. Thank you."

"Don't let me see you again. Get out!"

As soon as the cold word "Get out" fell, the two young Taoist priests scurried away in a hurry, but they still left a warning in the cave. "Stinky boy, you, you just wait!"

Shu Yue suddenly regretted being soft - hearted. He should have cut out those two men's tongues.

The danger had passed, leaving only the silence and damp coldness in the cave.

"Shu Yue..." A soft voice came from behind. It was very light and faint, but a touch of gentleness could be heard in it.

Turning around, seeing the thin Shu Yao wrapped in the black robe, Shu Yue stepped forward and silently hugged him into his arms.

It wasn't just a simple hug between father and son, but was filled with countless entanglements and indescribable emotions.

Leaning on these broad shoulders and feeling his burning temperature, Shu Yao inexplicably felt that it was quite nice to be like this.

He stretched out his hand. After a moment of hesitation, he placed it on Shu Yue's strong back, truly enjoying the warmth and steadiness this man brought to him.

Feeling the hands on his back, Shu Yue relaxed the coldness on his face and tightened his arms even more, tightly hugging this man.

It was as if he was holding his lover in his arms. They weren't father and son at this moment, but just enjoying this tender affection.

"I'm sorry. I made you suffer." After a while, Shu Yue whispered in his ear, with a trace of apology and a touch of tenderness.

"No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have driven you away." Coming from the slow - warming Shu Yao, Shu Yue really thought it was quite rare.

"It's really not easy to make Father admit his mistake," he let go of Shu Yao. The curve of his lips froze when he saw the wound on Shu Yao's arm. His face was full of distress. "Father, how did you get hurt? Did those bastards hurt you?"

He was so angry that he was about to chase after them and take their dog lives.

"No, I was just careless. It's okay."

"Did they do anything to you?"

Shu Yao shook his head and pulled his hand. "Thanks to you for coming in time."

However, when he touched his right hand, it wasn't real skin but the gauze wrapped in his palm.

His eyes were full of pity, just out of concern for the child. "How did your hand get hurt?"

Shu Yue quickly withdrew his hand and hid it behind his back. His eyes were evasive, and he laughed foolishly a few times. "I accidentally fell. Hehe, it's quite embarrassing, right?"

"You should change your temper. You're always so clumsy in everything you do."

"Father is right. I'll change." He perfunctorily passed it off with an innocent smile, then pretended nothing had happened and took Shu Yao back to the tree - house.

It was not easy for them to reconcile. He didn't want Father to feel guilty again after knowing the truth. So, let the past be the past.

Because nothing was more important and beautiful than being together with Father again now.
