Chapter 186: I Don’t Like Cats—Only Foxes

Relying on the dazed and drunken state that Chu Hengyuan was pretending to be in, the cunning little fox didn't plan to really continue drinking. After clinking glasses with him, she put the glass down and watched him drink with a beaming smile.

The sober Chu Hengyuan could see the little girl's little tricks, but he had to pretend to be drunk and couldn't expose her on the spot. He could only secretly take note, planning to settle the score with her next time he had the chance.

Rong Lan watched as the man tilted his head back and drank a whole glass of wine. She grinned from ear to ear and clapped for him dizzily. "Brother is so amazing! Alright, tonight's drinking session is over!" she shouted with a raised arm.

The little Ragdoll cat, infected by Mama's excited tone, tilted its head and meowed in confusion, as if it didn't understand what Daddy and Mama were doing.

Chu Hengyuan lowered his head to hide his smile and pretended to feel uncomfortable. He leaned on the little girl's shoulder and waved his hand forward, casually draping it around her slender waist. "I can still keep drinking..." he murmured in a hoarse voice, reeking of alcohol.

Rong Lan didn't notice anything amiss at all. She patted his back soothingly and her eyes sparkled. "You can't drink anymore. It's getting late. We should go to bed. It's a weekday tomorrow."

"Weekday... What's a weekday..." Chu Hengyuan pretended to be so drunk that he'd even forgotten basic common sense, but the hand on her waist deliberately pulled her into his embrace.

Hearing his murmur, Rong Lan's eyes lit up even more. He was so drunk that he didn't even know what a weekday was. Didn't that mean that if she flirted with him, he wouldn't resist? "Brother, do you know who I am?" She hooked his chin so that he could look up at her face.

Chu Hengyuan looked up following her strength. His expression was blurred, but there was always a smile in his eyes. He raised his hand and gently ran his fingertips across the little girl's flushed face, looking into her eyes as if he wanted to engrave her appearance deep in his mind.

After waiting for a long time without getting an answer, Rong Lan thought he was so drunk that he didn't recognize anyone. Unexpectedly, he leaned in and kissed the side of her face. "Lanlan, you're - mine, Lanlan."

Rong Lan, who was caught off guard by the kiss, covered her face in surprise. If it weren't for the silly smile on her brother's face, which was so different from his usual state, she would definitely have suspected whether he was really drunk.

How could a drunk person still be so accurate in calling out her name and even steal a kiss from her?

"Brother." She deliberately poked his face. "You don't even remember what a weekday is, but why do you still remember that I'm your Lanlan?"

Chu Hengyuan recalled the state of the little girl when she was drunk. After a long pause, he replied with a silly smile, "I can't forget... Lanlan."

"Because... only my Lanlan... would call me brother..." Taking advantage of his drunkenness, he told her that her address for him was unique. No one else would call him brother except her, and even if someone did, he wouldn't respond.

Rong Lan tilted her head. Looking at his silly smile, she couldn't help but poke his face again. "Brother told me a lot of addresses back then. Do you know why I chose the address 'brother' without hesitation?" This was a big secret she had never explained to him.

Chu Hengyuan didn't answer. He just looked at her, with a hint of curiosity in his eyes at the right moment.

Some drunk people can actually hear what others are saying, but their minds can't turn fast enough and they react slowly. That's the kind of person he was acting like now.

Rong Lan didn't tell him easily. Instead, she supported the table and stood up. After making sure she was steady, she went to help him up. She coaxed him with a beaming smile, "Brother, come back to the room with me, and then I'll tell you the reason."

Chu Hengyuan pretended not to understand the little girl's words. This time, he didn't get up following her strength. After all, he was a drunkard now, and as a qualified drunkard, he couldn't always react in time.

Rong Lan grabbed the man's arm and tried to pull him up, but she failed three times. The man sitting firmly on the chair looked at her in confusion, with an innocent look in his eyes as if asking what she was doing.

Rong Lan took a deep breath. Drunk as she was, she almost plopped down on the chair dizzily.

Seeing that Rong Lan didn't keep trying to help him up, Chu Hengyuan thought she had noticed something. He calmly lowered his head to avoid her gaze and his eyes fell on the little Ragdoll cat squatting not far away. He squinted his eyes.

For the sake of fun, it seemed that he had to sacrifice something less important like the child. It was just right for the little guy to experience the harshness of the world, so that it wouldn't dare to disturb their intimacy in the future.

So, just as Rong Lan took three deep breaths to ease the drunkenness in her mind, she saw her brother kick little Hu Po.

Rong Lan: "!!!"

Chu Hu Po: "???"

Rong Lan was so shocked that she almost couldn't catch her breath. "Brother?!"

Chu Hu Po could feel that the kick on its body was very light. It even saw the indescribable meaning in Stupid Daddy's eyes when he looked at it. But! That wasn't an excuse for Stupid Daddy to kick it!

It flipped over and stood up, its tail held high and the fur at the tip of its tail fluffed up. It meowed angrily at Chu Hengyuan, "Meow!"

Chu Hengyuan pretended to glance at the little Ragdoll cat disdainfully and murmured in a drunken tone, "I don't like cats..."

Chu Hu Po: "Meow meow meow?" Even if Stupid Daddy was just pretending, this carried strong personal emotions.

Seeing that the little Ragdoll cat immediately got up and confronted Chu Hengyuan angrily, Rong Lan let out a sigh of relief. Little Hu Po clearly looked fine. Otherwise, it would definitely have acted coquettishly with her and asked her to stand up for it.

And her brother must be extremely drunk. Usually, he would never have the heart to kick little Hu Po!

"I don't like cats..." Chu Hengyuan repeated again, his voice slightly hoarse. "I like foxes..."

"Huh?" Hearing the second half of the man's words, Rong Lan was even more surprised. Her brother liked foxes? Was it because he had spent a few days with her in her fox form that he liked foxes, or did he just like the fluffier foxes better than cats?

But that wasn't important now.

The only thing she was focusing on now was how to get him back to the room.

Her brother could even get into a confrontation with little Hu Po after getting drunk. It wouldn't be good for little Hu Po to leave him outside the master bedroom. It was okay that he just kicked little Hu Po lightly. What if his disgust for little Hu Po reached its peak later and he bullied little Hu Po more severely?

Just as Rong Lan was deep in thought about how to coax him to stand up and walk by himself, she saw him stand up by supporting the back of the chair.

Rong Lan: "???" Why was her brother suddenly so eager? He didn't want to stand up no matter how she pulled him just now.

Chu Hengyuan pretended to stagger unsteadily. He supported his forehead and walked towards the living room, mumbling, "I don't want to. I don't want to be in the same room as a cat!"
