When Rong Lan heard that Han Xiaoshuang wanted to steal her cat, her expression turned even colder. Her little Amber had just been nursed back to health by her, yet there was someone coveting it. This was even more serious than stealing documents.
"Ms. Han is really honest," Rong Lan said with a fake smile. "Well, I've asked all the questions I wanted. I'll go back and discuss with my brother about dropping the lawsuit. But after Ms. Han leaves here, I have one more thing I'd like you to cooperate with me on. If you refuse to cooperate, I have a hundred ways to send you back in."
Han Xiaoshuang's face darkened. "Let's talk about it after I get out."
"Sure."
After Rong Lan finished talking to Han Xiaoshuang, when she walked out to the police station lobby, she saw Bai Rongran. And it seemed that there was a lawyer beside her dear sister.
When the two sisters saw each other, their eyes lit up.
Bai Rongran knew that Rong Lan must be here because Rong Lan could only have seen Chu Chuan being taken into the police station when she came here to handle some business. Rong Lan, on the other hand, didn't expect that her dear sister would come here in person. She was so focused on talking to Han Xiaoshuang that she didn't know if her sister had replied to her message.
"My dear Rongran," Rong Lan shed the coldness she had shown towards Han Xiaoshuang and put her arm around her sister's shoulder with a smile. "You came so quickly. Could it be that you're also involved in Chu Chuan's being brought to the police station?" she asked in a low voice.
There was no need to hide this, so Bai Rongran nodded and simply admitted, "Yes."
"My dear sister is really amazing," Rong Lan sighed. Bai Rongran had just taken over the projects of the Bai Group and should be busy with work, yet she still had the time to scheme against Chu Chuan.
"By the way, I have something really interesting to tell you, but it's not convenient now. I'll tell you all about it on the way home."
Bai Rongran couldn't guess what Rong Lan was up to, but seeing Rong Lan's excited smile, she thought it should be nothing bad. "Okay, then come in with me later to see Chu Chuan." Although it was embarrassing, she had to admit that when she saw Rong Lan appear in front of her, the anxiety in her heart subsided, and she felt relieved.
"Sure," Rong Lan replied with a smile, pretending not to notice her sister's tense expression.
So, the little fox who had just come out of the mediation room accompanied her sister into the mediation room again.
This time, however, the person sitting across from her was not Han Xiaoshuang but Chu Chuan.
Moreover, this time there was a police officer mediating.
Bai Rongran stared at the haggard - looking man wearing a hat expressionlessly, her eyes so cold as if she were looking at a stranger.
Chu Chuan lowered his head and didn't meet Bai Rongran's gaze. It was unclear what he was thinking.
Rong Lan, as an on - looker who knew nothing, sat quietly beside Bai Rongran.
It took her five minutes of listening to the mediating police officer to figure out the whole story of why Chu Chuan was here.
It turned out that Chu Chuan had smashed her sister's car. Bai Rongran checked the surveillance in the parking lot, saw the car being smashed, and immediately called the police. It was easy for the police to track Chu Chuan's whereabouts, so they called him and gave him a chance to come to the police station and turn himself in.
When she arrived, Chu Chuan should have just come. Maybe he felt ashamed, so he wore a hat, sunglasses, and a mask. But the police saw a sneaky person hovering at the door and, worried that it was a lawbreaker, directly brought him in.
Rong Lan played with her fingers and tried hard not to laugh when she saw Chu Chuan's ugly expression. Her intuition told her that her sister might have agreed to meet Chu Chuan but always slipped away at the last minute. That's why Chu Chuan was so angry that he smashed the car to vent his dissatisfaction. Chu Chuan probably never expected that his sister would call the police.
If this incident got out, Chu Chuan would be ashamed again. Just thinking about it made Rong Lan happy.
It took half an hour in the mediation room to resolve the matter. Rong Lan didn't say a word throughout, and Bai Rongran only said two sentences. Most of the time, it was the lawyer who talked to Chu Chuan about the compensation for the car.
Chu Chuan accepted all the compensation conditions proposed by Bai Rongran's lawyer. After both parties signed a mediation consent form, they could leave the police station.
After signing the consent form, Rong Lan held Bai Rongran's arm and walked out of the police station one after another with Chu Chuan.
When passing by Chu Chuan, Rong Lan couldn't hold back and said to him with a smile, "Mr. Chu Chuan, you'd better be more careful in the future, or you might end up in trouble before you manage to get your mother out. By the way, I just saw your mother. She doesn't seem to be doing well."
After saying that, she pulled Bai Rongran and walked quickly forward, fearing that Chu Chuan would lose his temper and start a fight at the police station entrance.
She couldn't let Chu Chuan be really arrested. Her revenge plan that she had just come up with hadn't even started yet.
Rong Lan didn't look back, so she didn't see that after hearing what she said, Chu Chuan stopped in his tracks, stared fixedly at their backs as they ran away, his eyes filled with sinister malice, as if he wished he could tear them to pieces.
"You went to see Han Xiaoshuang?" Bai Rongran gasped for breath after running a few steps with Rong Lan and then tugged at her to stop.
"Yes, and the thing I want to tell you is related to Han Xiaoshuang."
Bai Rongran: "???"
"Can't you tell me now?" What kind of thing was it that needed to be kept such a strict secret?
Rong Lan looked around and shook her head firmly. "No. Let's wait until we get in the car. There are too many people here. What I'm going to say is a really interesting plan!"
Bai Rongran twitched the corner of her mouth. Rong Lan's plan had piqued her curiosity to the maximum. If the plan didn't meet her expectations, she might not be able to resist punching Rong Lan.
As it turned out, Rong Lan's plan was really worth waiting until they got in the car to be told.
Even though Bai Rongran was in a bad mood after seeing Chu Chuan, she was still amused by Rong Lan's plan. "You're much more ruthless than me. If my plan is just about killing someone, yours is about breaking their spirit first and then killing them."
"Don't exaggerate. I just came up with it on the spur of the moment," Rong Lan said with a beaming smile.
"Then let's follow your plan," Bai Rongran said, looking down at the calendar on her phone screen. "I'll adjust the time and location and then tell you."
Rong Lan leaned over to look at the phone with Bai Rongran. "Okay. It's almost the Chinese New Year. We have to get rid of those annoying people who always hover in front of us before the New Year so that we can have a good New Year."
"Yeah," Bai Rongran replied softly. "Get rid of them. It would be best if we never have to see them again starting next year."
