Feng Xingzhi stood on the deck with his hands behind his back, his gaze fixed straight ahead. The sea breeze caressed his cheeks gently, as soft as silk. The sunlight shone down and landed on his shoulders. His tall and slender figure cast a long shadow. His thoughts had already drifted far away.
Prince Xuanyuan Ji Zhuanxu was Ji Yunxi's elder brother. What was the connection between Ji Yuchen, Ji Yunyi and Ji Zhuanxu? After all, the three of them looked very alike. It was hard not to arouse suspicion.
"Master is awake!" A cheerful voice from behind interrupted his thoughts. Feng Xingzhi put down his hands, turned around and quickly walked into the cabin.
Ji Yunxi felt that she had had a very deep dream. In the dream, she couldn't see where she was. Her ears were filled with noisy sounds. Then the scene changed. There were raging fires everywhere and the flames of war were flying. The crying children made one's heart ache.
"Where is this?" Ji Yunxi turned around and looked around. Her long dress spread out and danced with her steps, picking up the petals on the ground. "Where on earth is this? Is there anyone?"
No one responded to her. She ran forward desperately, following the crying of the children, but found that she had been spinning in place.
"How can I save them? Tell me, tell me!" Ji Yunxi was emotionally unstable. She didn't understand why she was so anxious. She couldn't help roaring heart - rendingly.
Suddenly, a burst of white light burst out from her body. The ground under her feet rumbled. The dream suddenly collapsed. The surrounding scenery shattered into pieces like a mirror. Ji Yunxi couldn't stand steadily. She only felt her body swaying!
"Xixi, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" Feng Xingzhi held her hand as if she were a precious treasure.
Ji Yunxi's eyelashes fluttered slightly. Her vision gradually became clear. First, she saw Feng Xingzhi's worried eyes with a hint of surprise in them.
"Where are we? Why is it so wobbly?" Ji Yunxi rolled her eyes. She still had a trace of sleepiness just after waking up and her voice was soft.
"We are on the sea." Feng Xingzhi simply told her the current situation.
Ji Yunxi propped up her arms and tried to sit up. Feng Xingzhi quickly helped her up. Ji Yunxi looked out through the window. Sure enough, she saw the boundless and magnificent blue sea. The orange sunset was burning on the horizon. The sea breeze was cool and refreshing.
"Why did you sleep for so long? I used my spiritual power to check but didn't find anything abnormal."
Ji Yunxi remembered what had happened in the dream. Her eyes flashed with a strange light. "I don't know. Maybe my body is too weak. I feel that my strength has recovered after sleeping for so long." She lowered her eyes and thought for a while, then decided not to mention the dream.
Feng Xingzhi stared straight at her. Ji Yunxi looked at him frankly with a smile in her eyes. Finally, Feng Xingzhi couldn't help but speak first. "Tell me if you feel uncomfortable."
"What can happen to me? I'm just worried about my father and elder brother now." Ji Yunxi said pretending to be relaxed.
"Don't worry. There is still the power of the Huaxu Clan." Feng Xingzhi said so, but he always felt that Ji Yunxi was hiding something from him. If he could see through Ji Yunxi before, he couldn't this time. The feeling of uneasiness was growing.
"The current situation is unclear. It's hard to tell friend from foe." Ji Yunxi's eyes flashed. She was a little worried.
"Anyway, we will face it together." Feng Xingzhi held her hand to comfort her.
"Yeah. I'm not afraid as long as you are here!" Ji Yunxi's mouth curved up. Her smiling eyes were bent. She gently leaned her head on his shoulder.
At night, they had dinner on the boat. After dinner, the four of them went to sleep. The sea was calm. A pair of shrewd eyes suddenly opened, shining a terrifying light in the moonlight.
It turned out that after seeing them fall asleep, the boatmen got up. They had put drugs in the food early on, planning to rob their property while they were in a coma and then sell Ji Yunxi.
The door was quietly pushed open. They first came to Feng Xingzhi and Ji Yunxi's room. Pushing the door open, they saw Ji Yunxi sleeping in the bed, completely defenseless.
The several people looked at each other and nodded, making a gesture to take action.
A cold light flashed in front of their eyes. Feng Xingzhi appeared out of thin air. The leader was so scared that he took two steps back. Feng Xingzhi still put his sword on the leader's neck.
The man looked at the sword on his neck, his eyes rolling. Suddenly, one person launched an attack. Everyone fought. After a few rounds, the boatmen were lying on the ground howling in pain.
"Master, what happened?" Lu Shu and Qing Xuan heard the sound and rushed over quickly. As soon as they came in, they were startled by the messy scene.
Ji Yunxi didn't know when she woke up. She sat on one side looking at the boatmen, extremely helpless. This journey was really not smooth.
"Please spare our lives, good sir. Please spare our lives!" The leader raised his palm in a surrender gesture, looking panicked and nervously swallowing his saliva.
"Who sent you here?" Feng Xingzhi's tone was irritable. His whole body exuded a cold air. He looked at them patiently.
"Ah..." The several people looked at each other. "We don't understand what you mean."
He pressed a little harder. Blood oozed from the boatman's neck. "You still won't say, right?"
"We really don't understand what you are talking about?" The several people's tones were sincere. Feng Xingzhi could see that they didn't seem to be lying.
"The flames of war have been raging without end. We just want to make a living. It's really a helpless move. We accidentally offended you gentlemen. We know our mistakes." The several people said and quickly knelt down to apologize, saying that they would never dare again.
"All right, stop talking nonsense. Get out of here quickly!" Feng Xingzhi quickly told them to get off the boat. He turned to look at Ji Yunxi. Sure enough, Ji Yunxi's eyes were dull. She was still looking in the direction where the boatmen left.
"Yunxi." Feng looked at her worriedly.
Ji Yunxi's eyes moved, but she smiled. The smile was bitter and full of deep helplessness. "Xingzhi, I'm really not a goddess. I don't have the ability to protect all sentient beings either."
After Ji Yunxi finished speaking, she walked out of the room, brushing past Feng Xingzhi.
Feng Xingzhi wanted to reach out and hold her. He felt a soft touch on his fingertips, but in the end, he didn't hold anything. Only the air slipped through his palm.
Feng Xingzhi stood with his head down in the quiet room. The lamp on the table was blown by the sea breeze. The shadows on the wall merged into one and became blurred.
The boatmen were driven off. Lu Shu became the helmsman and Qing Xuan helped him beside.
"Master looks very sad. Should I go and comfort her?"
Qing Xuan propped his chin. His eyes never left Ji Yunxi's figure.
"Don't go and cause trouble!" Lu Shu shook his head and said meaningfully.
"How am I causing trouble? Explain it to me clearly?" Qing Xuan was not happy to hear this. His voice was a few decibels higher.
"You are... causing enough trouble."
Ji Yunxi glanced at the two of them. Lu Shu's voice became a little lower in the second half. The two of them obediently steered the boat.
"It's all your fault!"
"I blame you too."
