"Well, that's good~"
Hearing Hu Ke'er's words, Yuan Liuer replied with a smile.
"Then, Junior Sister Ke'er, do you want to go back now or stay here and watch me refine the elixirs? It'll take quite a while!"
"Hmm, I'll just stay here and wait for you, Senior Sister Yuan Liuer. I can just draw some blueprints. If you let me go back alone, I don't know how to fly with a sword, and I'm not very familiar with the way either~"
After thinking for a moment, Hu Ke'er responded to Yuan Liuer's question.
"Okay then!"
Yuan Liuer nodded upon hearing Hu Ke'er's words and then focused on watching her alchemy furnace.
"The most crucial aspects of alchemy are controlling the heat, adding the medicinal herbs, and getting rid of impurities. So, if we could make something like a multi - functional rice cooker, all we need to do is add different herbs and remove impurities at different stages!"
With this thought in mind, Hu Ke'er took out a pen and paper and started drawing the blueprint. After several hours of erasing and revising, she finally came up with the prototype of an automatic alchemy furnace.
"Hmm, this should be about right!"
Hu Ke'er put away her blueprint contentedly and then looked at Yuan Liuer, who was still busy beside her.
"Senior Sister Liuer, how are your elixirs coming along?"
"Almost done. They should be ready in about a quarter of an hour. How about you, Junior Sister Ke'er?" Yuan Liuer answered.
"I've finished the first draft of the blueprint. We'll know how it works after we get the blacksmith to make it!"
"Okay. Junior Sister Ke'er, please wait for me a bit longer. I'll take you back after I'm done here."
"Sure!"
Hu Ke'er nodded in response and then turned to look at the red - hot alchemy furnace.
"By the way, Senior Sister Liuer, could you help me test the automatic alchemy furnace after it's made?"
"No problem!"
Yuan Liuer nodded vigorously, and Hu Ke'er sat down beside her.
"Senior Sister Liuer, what's the purpose of cultivating immortality?"
"Hmm, I've never thought about that. What about you, Junior Sister? Why do you cultivate immortality?"
Yuan Liuer pouted and then turned to look at Hu Ke'er.
"Me? I used to want to go back to my hometown. But after staying here for a while, I don't miss it as much as before~"
"Junior Sister, if you can go back, you should do it quickly. After all, there's a difference between immortals and mortals. By the time you reach a certain level of cultivation, your hometown might have changed completely."
Yuan Liuer whispered after hearing Hu Ke'er's words.
"I want to, but I can't." Hu Ke'er replied with a bitter smile.
"Eh, why? Is your hometown very far away, Junior Sister Ke'er? If so, I can take you back after the inner - sect test!"
"It's very far, so far that you can't reach it even by flying with a sword." Hu Ke'er whispered.
"Maybe you could ask your master for help. He might have more powerful flying tools!"
"Okay."
Hu Ke'er nodded with a faint smile.
"Let's talk about it later, after we pass the inner - sect test."
"Sure!"
Yuan Liuer smiled innocently at Hu Ke'er and then glanced at the flames under the alchemy furnace.
"It's almost time. I'm going to open the furnace. Please step aside a bit, Junior Sister Ke'er!"
"Okay~"
Hu Ke'er nodded in response. Yuan Liuer then reached out her hand towards the red crystal that was providing the flames under the furnace.
"Red Fire Crystal, extinguish!"
As Yuan Liuer's voice faded, the flames from the crystal instantly went out. Then she quickly struck a palm at the lid of the alchemy furnace.
"Rise!"
With a soft shout, the lid of the alchemy furnace slowly flew away. White smoke rose slowly, with a dozen or so bright spots floating within.
"Collect!"
Yuan Liuer took out a small jade bottle from her bosom and made a hand gesture of absorption. The jade bottle then emitted a powerful suction force, and the dozen or so bright spots were drawn into it.
"Hmm, Junior Sister Ke'er, we're really lucky this time. I thought we could only refine eight or nine Blood Qi Pills, but we actually got thirteen!"
Yuan Liuer said cheerfully after putting the Blood Qi Pills into the jade bottle.
"That's great!"
Hu Ke'er smiled slightly upon hearing Yuan Liuer's words.
"Okay, Junior Sister, I'll take you back first. Then I'll come back to refine the White Jade Pills. I may not have much of other things, but I've got plenty of elixirs!"
"Okay!"
Hu Ke'er nodded in response.
"Thank you, Senior Sister Liuer."
"You're welcome. We're on the same team now. I'm also preparing for the inner - sect test."
As she spoke, Yuan Liuer summoned her flying sword.
"Junior Sister, come on up. Let's go!"
"Okay!"
Hu Ke'er sat on Yuan Liuer's flying sword, and they quickly flew towards the blacksmith's shop.
"Junior Sister, you're really amazing. You can make so many powerful weapons. And can that automatic alchemy furnace you mentioned really be made?"
"It should be okay. Come and take a look after it's done, Senior Sister Liuer!"
"Sure!"
Before long, they returned to the blacksmith's shop.
"Junior Sister Ke'er, Brother Chen isn't here now. If you need anything, just call me."
As she spoke, Yuan Liuer stuffed a yellow talisman paper into Hu Ke'er's palm.
"What's this?"
Hu Ke'er was a bit stunned when she saw the yellow talisman paper in her hand.
"This is a sound - transmission talisman. If you inject spiritual energy into it, you can talk to the one in my hand."
As she spoke, Yuan Liuer waved another identical talisman paper in her hand.
"Wow, it's so amazing. I didn't know spiritual energy could be used for communication. It's just like a simplified version of a mobile phone!"
"What's a mobile phone?" Yuan Liuer asked in confusion.
"Nothing. It's just something similar to the sound - transmission talisman." Hu Ke'er replied softly.
"Hmm, Senior Sister Liuer, I'm going to work in the blacksmith's shop now."
"Okay. I'm going back to refine the White Jade Pills. Call me if you need anything!"
"Sure~"
Hu Ke'er nodded in response. She watched as Yuan Liuer flew away on her flying sword and then quickly ran into the blacksmith's shop to start working on the two things she had been preparing.
