Chapter 179: Dare to Act as a Scribe for Once

Grandma Zhang was not convinced and raised her walking stick, wanting to hit someone.

Fu Jianhui stood still, looking as nonchalant as ever.

"Grandma, you're being rather ungrateful here."

The Zhang family was already shameless enough, but faced with Fu Jianhui, who was even more stubborn than them, they were at a complete loss.

If they were to hit him, given Fu Jianhui's build, a couple of whacks with the walking stick would hardly hurt him.

If they didn't, they were really reluctant to let it go.

Grandma Zhang was so angry that her eyes almost popped out. She could only glare and look at her son.

Zhang Xiaokang had been firmly stepped on the ground. It was even difficult for him to move. He knew that they had really met their match today, so he had no choice but to admit defeat for the time being.

"I'll return it. Can you let me go first!"

Fu Jianhui smiled. "So you know you've lost now? It would have been so much easier if you'd done this earlier. Why make yourself suffer?"

These words sounded so familiar. Didn't he say the same thing to Zhang Yingying back then?

Zhang Xiaokang felt extremely ashamed. His face was burning hot, and he could only stretch his neck and shout.

"Stop talking nonsense! Let go quickly!"

Fu Jianhui just smiled without saying a word. But this time, he did move his foot away.

Zhang Xiaokang got up in a hurry, scrambling towards his mother.

Grandma Zhang protected him like a precious treasure and quickly pulled Zhang Xiaokang over.

"You son of a bitch! I won't let you off!" Grandma Zhang cursed at Fu Jianhui.

Zhang Xiaokang quickly stopped her and pulled his mother aside, whispering something to her.

"Mom, you mustn't go against him. I think this guy is not easy to deal with."

Grandma Zhang was anxious. "But we can't just let that girl take our stuff away, right? She's going to get married sooner or later. She'll be like water spilled out. We can't let the money of our Zhang family fall into other people's hands."

"Yes, yes, I know." Zhang Xiaokang lowered his voice. "I don't know where that girl met these hooligans, but if we don't let them have their way today, God knows what will happen. Mom, you don't want to see me get beaten, do you?"

Grandma Zhang was in a dilemma. Of course, she loved her son.

But seeing so many things being taken away, Grandma Zhang's heart ached as if it were bleeding.

"Then what do you think we should do?"

Zhang Xiaokang thought for a while and then gritted his teeth.

"Forget it. If they want to take it, let them. I don't believe that these people can protect that dead girl for a lifetime. Sooner or later, there will be times when they can't reach out. Then we can just move it back."

Grandma Zhang thought about it and felt that this was a compromise. It was better than just watching Zhang Xiaokang get beaten.

By this time, Fu Jianhui's men had almost finished moving the things.

From money to pots, bowls, spoons, tables, and chairs, they were neatly arranged in almost half of the yard.

Yun Que'er saw this from afar and was shocked.

She really didn't expect Zhang Xiaokang to be so greedy.

No wonder that not long after Old Zhang passed away, the lives of Zhang Yingying and her mother were so difficult that they could hardly make ends meet.

"Brother, it's all done." Fu Jianhui's subordinate said.

Fu Jianhui nodded but didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave.

"Girl, come here." Fu Jianhui waved to Zhang Yingying.

Then he looked at Yun Fujin. "You can write, right?"

"Yes." Yun Fujin nodded.

"Then, can you write a legal document?"

Zhang Xiaokang sensed something was wrong and quickly stepped forward.

"What legal document?"

Fu Jianhui ignored Zhang Xiaokang and just looked at Yun Fujin.

Yun Fujin shook his head slightly. "I can't, but Uncle Jianhui, you can just tell me what to write, and I'll do it."

"That's good." Fu Jianhui put his big hand on Yun Fujin's shoulder and casually pulled over a small stool for him to sit on.

"Do you have paper and a pen?" Fu Jianhui looked at Zhang Xiaokang.

Zhang Xiaokang frowned, completely confused.

"What on earth are you up to? Explain it clearly first!"

Fu Jianhui sneered. "I'm asking you for paper and a pen as a favor. Don't be ungrateful!"

As soon as Fu Jianhui frowned, a group of people rushed forward as if they were about to start a fight.

Zhang Xiaokang was so scared that he took a step back. Thinking that a wise man never fights when the odds are against him, he had no choice but to go back to the inner room to get the things.

In the few minutes he was gone, Fu Jianhui had already set up a low table in the yard.

When Zhang Xiaokang came back, Fu Jianhui ignored him and snatched the paper and pen, then placed them in front of Yun Fujin.

"Come on, I'll tell you what to write."

"I, Zhang Xiaokang, voluntarily return all the items and money of my late elder brother's family and will never ask for them back again."

Zhang Xiaokang felt something was wrong. Hearing this, he stepped forward to pull Yun Fujin away.

"What are you doing? Did I agree? Why do I have to write a legal document!"

Fu Jianhui blocked in front of Zhang Xiaokang, preventing him from getting close to Yun Fujin, and looked at him impatiently.

"Don't you know why you have to write the legal document?"

Zhang Xiaokang was unhappy. "What do I know? Anyway, I will never recognize this legal document!"

Fu Jianhui was too lazy to argue with him. He directly told his men to block Zhang Xiaokang outside and continued to let Yun Fujin write.

Zhang Xiaokang was so anxious that he jumped up and down. "Stop writing! What the hell are you writing? Anyway, no matter what you say today, I won't recognize it!"

"Whether you recognize it or not is not up to you."

Fu Jianhui took the legal document that Yun Fujin had just written, waved his hand, and immediately someone dragged Zhang Xiaokang over and pressed him down on the table with a thud.

Grandma Zhang jumped up and down, scolding. "You scoundrels! How dare you hurt my son? I'm not dead yet!"

She wanted to pull Zhang Xiaokang out, but as soon as she took a step forward, she was surrounded.

Grandma Zhang was startled by the big guys in front of her. "Are you going to beat me?"

No one answered Grandma Zhang's question. They just quietly looked at her, neither attacking nor moving aside. Grandma Zhang could only jump around anxiously, constantly shouting for her son.

Zhang Xiaokang was howling like a pig being slaughtered. When he saw that there was a small knife in Fu Jianhui's hand at some point, he howled even louder.

"Murderer!"

Fu Jianhui looked at Zhang Xiaokang coldly, leaned over, and without hesitation, cut a small wound on Zhang Xiaokang's finger. Then he forcefully grabbed his hand and pressed his fingerprint on the legal document.

When it came to Zhang Yingying, Fu Jianhui took out a box of inkpad from his pocket.

"It's not nice for a little girl to have a scar. Come on."

Zhang Yingying gave Fu Jianhui a grateful smile and stepped forward to press her fingerprint.

"Done." Fu Jianhui picked up the legal document and shook it. "Today, I'll dare to act as a scribe for once. Your debts are cleared. If you dare to ask for money or have any unclear matters in the future, just come to me with this legal document!"

"Who do you think you are!" Zhang Xiaokang finally broke free from the restraint. "Are you even fully grown? And you dare to act like an elder and be a scribe here? I spit on you!"

Fu Jianhui sneered. "You've already pressed your fingerprint. Even if you don't recognize me, you still have to follow the rules set in this document."
