Chapter 28 Bottleneck

The two took the elevator down in silence. In the narrow space, the numbers kept jumping downward.

Yan Hua seemed to suddenly think of something and spoke to Mu Yuze.

"Boss, do you think we should find a job for Lu Xue?"

Mu Yuze finally looked up, his dark eyes fixed on Yan Hua's face.

Yan Hua forced a smile and said,

"I think Lu Xue is in such a bad situation now. She has no job and no income. She depends entirely on your family's support. Why not arrange a junior - level job for her in our company? I think she can definitely handle it."

After all, Lu Xue was an old classmate who graduated from the same school as him.

The junior high school they attended was a pretty good one. So Lu Xue had a certain foundation. She should at least be able to handle an intern's job.

Mu Yuze didn't respond. He fell silent in the dim light of the elevator.

The mysteries surrounding Lu Xue were not simple, but what exactly they were seemed hard to say clearly for the moment.

When the elevator reached the second basement floor, Mu Yuze suddenly said without warning,

"You seem to be very concerned about Lu Xue."

Yan Hua was taken aback and blurted out,

"Yeah. After all, she's just a young girl with no relatives. She didn't have her family's care since childhood. You know, friends are really important when you're away from home."

Mu Yuze keenly caught some information in this remark and quickly asked,

"How do you know she has no relatives?"

Yan Hua and Lu Xue used to be really good friends, so he blurted out,

"I just know. Lu Xue herself said that her parents died when she was young. She grew up on hand - outs from others. She's been alone all these years. It's really not easy for her. So we should help her as much as we can."

Mu Yuze narrowed his eyes slightly. Did Lu Xue tell him this?

Mu Yuze knew about Lu Xue's parents' death because of the old master's will.

In fact, Lu Xue had never voluntarily told him about her growth experience.

But she could easily confide these things to Yan Hua?

The displeasure on Mu Yuze's face became more obvious. What on earth was the relationship between these two?

They had only met a few times, but they seemed so familiar with each other secretly?

When they walked into the underground garage, Yan Hua was still asking,

"Boss, think about it. Let her be a junior intern in our company. If you're really not at ease, you can assign her to my department. I can be her mentor and show her the ropes."

Assigning her to Yan Hua's department would only give them more time to interact.

Mu Yuze had already opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.

He lowered his eyes slightly and said coldly,

"I'll ask Lu Xue's opinion, but it still depends on whether she's willing or not."

Hearing this, Yan Hua heaved a sigh of relief.

Lu Xue would surely be willing. After all, she was in such a bad situation. If she could get an internship in their company, why would she refuse?

Moreover, their company was the best in the industry. Many students from prestigious universities were eager to get in.

That afternoon, Han Xiaolv came to visit Lu Xue again.

Business at her online store had been slow recently, so she simply came to Mu's mansion more often to chat with Lu Xue. It was also a good opportunity to enjoy some free fruits and snacks and experience life in a luxury mansion.

Seeing Han Xiaolv coming from afar, Mu Ziyue didn't give her a good look. She just held her head high and went upstairs. Han Xiaolv sat down on the sofa. While opening some snacks, she whispered to Lu Xue,

"Recently, people from several companies have found my contact information and sent me emails hoping to cooperate with me. But I don't know how they got my number! Did I leak my personal information somewhere?"

Since becoming Lu Xue's personal agent, Han Xiaolv had been extremely concerned about personal privacy. But she was just a young girl with little social experience, while the other side were top - level headhunters from big companies.

Through a complex network of connections, someone could always dig out Han Xiaolv's information and come to seek cooperation.

Fortunately, there was still a layer between Han Xiaolv and Lu Xue. Those people could harass Han Xiaolv, but they couldn't reach Lu Xue. Lu Xue could still enjoy her peace.

"You haven't created any new works for quite a while since you returned to China. The last time you completed a painting was half a year ago. If you don't come up with some new works soon, you may really be forgotten by the public."

Lu Xue didn't care much about this. She just leaned lazily on the sofa, like a cat that hadn't fully woken up.

"You know, I returned to China because I encountered a bottleneck. I wanted to visit an old artist in China. Bottlenecks are hard to overcome. Before I do, it'll be difficult for me to create new paintings."

Han Xiaolv sighed. She really had no way with Lu Xue.

As an agent, she really hoped that Lu Xue could be more productive and produce a lot of works every year.

Then she, as the agent, could get busy selling the paintings and happily earn a lot of money.
