After hanging up the phone, she glanced at Shen Yu and forced a smile.
Shen Yu remained silent all the time. It was not hard to see a hint of displeasure on his face.
"What do you think of Meng Ran?" Yi Pin asked with a smile, as if trying to sound him out, and pursed her lips.
Shen Yu looked angry, with a touch of coldness in his eyes.
"Hmm?" Yi Pin leaned over again, tilting her head and asking with a blank look.
"She's nice!" Shen Yu replied coldly, rummaging through his bag for a cigarette. His face was ashen.
Yi Pin frowned. Hearing this answer, she always felt a bit dissatisfied, though she didn't know exactly why.
The two sat there coldly, and a sense of hostility filled the air.
"Well... I'll leave first. I'm going to..." Yi Pin felt inexplicably guilty and stammered. She was thinking of going to find the old grandpa and have a chat with him.
"Not allowed!" Shen Yu said coldly in an unquestionable tone.
"Shen Yu, aren't you being too over - controlling?" Yi Pin frowned and looked helpless. Her words were interrupted before she could finish, and she was flatly rejected.
Shen Yu kept a cold face and never looked at Yi Pin. He just stared out of the window, smoking and blowing out rings of smoke from his mouth.
After dinner, Yi Pin left in a hurry. The two didn't say a single word to each other.
Shen Yu stood alone by the window, watching Yi Pin's departing back. He took a deep puff of his cigarette, then turned around and squatted down with his back against the wall. He propped his hands on his knees, looking sad.
Yi Pin walked out of the apartment, feeling irritated. She walked on the road and hailed a taxi. But just as the taxi stopped, a man with a briefcase snatched it first.
She was about to scold when the taxi drove away, leaving Yi Pin still standing there with her hand outstretched to open the door, looking blank.
At this moment, a black Ferrari pulled up steadily in front of Yi Pin.
Shen Yu's cold face came into view.
"Get in the car. I'll take you!" Shen Yu looked at Yi Pin coldly, almost in a commanding tone, with no expression on his face.
"No need!" Yi Pin glanced at Shen Yu and turned around to continue walking.
She stuffed her hands in her trouser pockets and walked silently as the cold wind blew.
There came the honking of horns from behind.
She thought Shen Yu had left, but when she looked back, she found that the Ferrari had been following slowly, blocking all the cars behind.
All the cars started honking angrily. The ear - piercing sound seemed to pierce through the eardrums.
There was a smile on Shen Yu's lips. He propped his hand on the car window and looked at Yi Pin with a smile.
"Damn it!" Yi Pin cursed under her breath.
Looking at the row of blocked cars, she lowered her head silently.
She quickly ran over and opened the car door. "Are you crazy? Drive quickly!"
Looking at the anxious Yi Pin, Shen Yu curled his lips. Sure enough, this trick always worked.
Yi Pin in the car kept looking out of the window at the street view, with her brows knitted tightly.
Shen Yu was sensible enough not to say a word. He just glanced back at Yi Pin from time to time, always feeling that her mood was off today.
"I'll take you directly there. Are you going on a... date?" Shen Yu frowned and said indifferently.
"No. Take me to Grandpa Liu's place!" Yi Pin looked back at Shen Yu in disbelief. Was this some kind of test from her boss? Going on a date during work hours?

The cackling echoed in the car and showed no sign of stopping.
The two looked at each other and burst into another fit of laughter.
They laughed all the way until they reached their destination.
Yi Pin got out of the car and saw the old grandpa sitting outside the yard, basking in the sun.
The winter sun didn't seem to warm people up, and there was a gusty wind, but the old folks seemed to like basking in the sun in winter.
Yi Pin looked back at Shen Yu, who was staring straight at the old grandpa.
"Don't get the steering wheel dirty. Leave quickly!" Yi Pin smiled and waved.
