Chapter 478: A Magnet for Trouble

"Okay, when we get back, I'll help you sort things out," Mu Fengqie said, holding Jing Xunce's hand and looking at him firmly.

"Thank you, Qie'er," Jing Xunce replied.

They were facing some troubles here. They never expected that in such a small country as Karlshid, there would be someone so scheming.

They had already learned about the situation in Karlshid. It would take some time to help Teng Liu solve the problems here; otherwise, they would have gone back long ago.

"By the way, that Grand Princess has taken a fancy to you. How are you going to deal with it?" Mu Fengqie squinted at Jing Xunce. She never thought her man would attract so many women wherever he went. He was truly a heart - breaker.

"Qie'er, it's not my fault. I didn't seduce her," Jing Xunce said. It was that woman who had seduced him, and he didn't even find her attractive.

"Are you blaming me then? Did I tell her to seduce you?" Mu Fengqie was not happy.

"Don't be angry, Qie'er. I was wrong. It's all my fault," Jing Xunce quickly admitted his mistake. It was his fault for strolling on the street and being seen by that Grand Princess.

If it weren't for this Grand Princess, they wouldn't have wasted so much time. At first, they didn't take the Grand Princess seriously, but they never expected her to be so cunning.

"I wonder why there's such a big difference between siblings from the same father. I'm starting to doubt if Teng Liu is really from the royal family," Jing Xunce said suspiciously.

"Even from the same dragon, its nine sons have different personalities. Teng Liu is already a good one," Mu Fengqie rolled her eyes at Jing Xunce.

Just as they were talking, Teng Liu came over.

"I'm saying, your identities are about to be discovered by that woman. Aren't you even a bit worried?" Teng Liu said. He felt like he was more anxious than they were. He had been really busy trying to protect their identities.

"Isn't that why we have you? We trust you," Mu Fengqie said, giving Teng Liu an encouraging look.

"I suspect you're taking revenge on me for the money I charged you before," Teng Liu said with a look of having discovered the truth.

"We can't help it if you think that way," Jing Xunce said helplessly, as if they really weren't doing it on purpose.

Teng Liu rolled his eyes at them. He realized they were indeed taking revenge on him.

"Alright, I came here for something serious," Teng Liu said seriously, looking at Jing Xunce and Mu Fengqie. "Have you come up with any solutions? I can't hold on much longer."

"Just let things take their course. We won't attack them first. We're just waiting for a proper opportunity," Mu Fengqie explained. In Karlshid, if they attacked first, they would be the ones breaking the peace between the two countries. But if the other side attacked first, they wouldn't be to blame.

Teng Liu rolled his eyes and smiled. "Alright, I understand. I guess I was worrying for nothing." These two were really as sly as foxes.

After Teng Liu stopped interfering, the Grand Princess's actions became more obvious. She would come to see Jing Xunce every day, either showing up at their place or "accidentally" bumping into him.

Today, the Grand Princess came again.

"It's your fortune that I've taken a fancy to you. Don't refuse a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit," the Grand Princess said haughtily, looking at Jing Xunce.

The Grand Princess was a complex person. Sometimes she was smart, and sometimes she was incredibly stupid, just like now.

"I'm already married. Please find someone else, Princess," Jing Xunce said expressionlessly.

"I don't mind. I just want to be the main wife, and she can step down and be the concubine," the Grand Princess said.

Mu Fengqie rolled her eyes. If Jing Xunce dared to agree, she would make sure he would never enjoy marital bliss again!

Jing Xunce suddenly felt a chill down his spine. He tightened his legs involuntarily, feeling as if a cold wind had just blown by.

"I've already said we're not suitable. Does the great Grand Princess want to force me?" Jing Xunce said bluntly.

"You..." The Grand Princess didn't expect Jing Xunce to be so unyielding. "Since that's the case, don't blame me for being merciless. You'll pay for this!" With that, the Grand Princess left with her entourage.

Damn it! She had investigated them for so long but still couldn't get accurate information. Their identities must be extraordinary, especially that man. His aura was definitely not that of an ordinary person.

It would be great if she could get him into her mansion, but since they didn't appreciate her kindness, she didn't need to hold back either.

"After we get back, send out my secret guards. Teach them a good lesson. Kill the woman and spare the man's life, but don't damage his face," the Grand Princess ordered.

"Yes, Your Highness. I understand," her maid replied. Their princess had done this kind of thing many times. They were familiar with the process and had never failed. Most of the men in the princess's backyard were snatched.

In this world, power ruled. Moreover, the emperor doted on the princess so much that even the crown prince didn't have such treatment. She was truly unique.

"After today, the Grand Princess will send someone," Mu Fengqie said calmly as she sat aside.

"I think she'll send someone before today is over," Jing Xunce said calmly, showing no sign of worry.

"This Grand Princess is really bold. She wants to act without even knowing our identities," Mu Fengqie sighed. With her arrangements, it was impossible for the Grand Princess to find out their identities.

"It's good this way. If she doesn't act, we'll have to wait. The sooner she acts, the sooner we can solve this," Jing Xunce was already impatient with staying here.

When Mu Fengqie and Jing Xunce were about to go to bed at night, they sensed something was wrong. They looked at each other and saw the same message in each other's eyes: They're here.

Neither of them moved. They just carried on with what they were doing, not taking those people seriously at all.

Mu Fengqie quietly took out a packet of medicine from her pocket. She had just made it a few days ago and hadn't tested its effect yet. Now that there were some "guinea pigs" coming to her, she might as well use it.

With this thought in mind, Mu Fengqie scattered the medicine when those people were about to attack. Jing Xunce watched as the people fell to the ground. He was glad he had taken the antidote in advance; otherwise, he would have fainted too.

Just as they were about to call someone to clean up, they saw Teng Liu rushing in with his men.

Looking at the people lying all over the room, Teng Liu asked worriedly, "Are you guys okay?"
