Chapter 264: A Scramble to Pay the Silver

"Minyu has something to do and can't play around with you," Gu Ruobai refused almost without thinking.

"Su Minyu hasn't even said a word yet. Why are you in such a hurry?" Wu Yurou frowned and looked at Su Minyu. "Hey! Are you going or not?"

Su Minyu put down her chopsticks helplessly, looked up at her and said, "If I say no, you'll surely call me a coward again, won't you?"

"I... I didn't say that," Wu Yurou said, her face changing like a chameleon as her thoughts were seen through.

Seeing this, Su Minyu sighed and stood up. "Let's go. I'll accompany you for a stroll. If you wander around alone in the capital and catch the eye of some hooligan, it'll be troublesome."

"I'm so beautiful that I'm bound to face a lot of trouble when I go out," Wu Yurou said, touching her face.

Su Minyu rolled her eyes. "I meant those hooligans are a real nuisance. With your personality, if they pester you, it'll be quite a headache."

"You!" Wu Yurou pointed at Su Minyu and scolded her as she walked. But Su Minyu pretended not to hear.

When they left the Ruixian Prince's Mansion, Wu Yurou stopped in her tracks. "Are you okay, Su Minyu? Why did you arrange so many people? I'm just going to the market. You've brought too many."

Su Minyu pouted at Wu Yurou. "Without them, how can we show off your princess aura?"

Wu Yurou twitched the corner of her mouth. "You just want to tell everyone in the capital that I'm out so that those princes can come and find me."

Su Minyu didn't deny it. "The princess came to the capital for a political marriage. Please don't forget your duty."

Hearing this, Wu Yurou's face darkened. She turned around and stared at Su Minyu with her beautiful eyes. "I'll be honest with you. The man I want to marry is Gu Ruobai, so don't stop me."

"Of course I won't stop you," Su Minyu replied without hesitation. "But I'm already Gu Ruobai's legal wife. If the princess really wants to marry into the family, she can only be a concubine. If the princess is willing to be a concubine, I don't mind."

"Why should I be a concubine?" Wu Yurou retorted. "You're just the legal wife. I can be a side princess."

Su Minyu didn't argue with her. She just led her forward. "Because I'm the only one who can be his princess. Even a side princess can't be anyone else."

Then, Su Minyu turned to look at Wu Yurou, who was still standing there sulking. "Princess, hurry up."

Looking at Su Minyu's calm demeanor, Wu Yurou frowned even more.

Actually, before coming to the capital, Wu Yurou had heard of Su Minyu. She had read about her poems and her bear - hunting experience. She thought she knew Su Minyu quite well, but now she realized that she knew nothing about this woman. She was so unpredictable.

As they walked, Wu Yurou saw a lot of things and, of course, bought many. Su Minyu asked the servants to carry them all.

When they arrived in front of Sinnan Pavilion, Wu Yurou raised her eyebrows. "The clothes in there look different from those outside."

Su Minyu nodded. "This shop is quite famous in the capital. The princess can go in and take a look."

With that, Su Minyu made a gesture of invitation.

Seeing this, Wu Yurou raised her eyebrows. "That's better."

As soon as Xia Mian saw Su Minyu, she stepped forward to greet her. "Hello, miss. What kind of clothes would you like to choose?"

Su Minyu pointed at Wu Yurou in front. "Let her choose."

Wu Yurou had never seen such clothes in Sinnan Pavilion. She was surprised and picked up several pieces in a row. "I'll go and try them on."

Su Minyu nodded. "Go ahead. The clothes here have some special ways of wearing. If you don't know how, just say so."

Watching Wu Yurou go in to try on clothes, Su Minyu sighed silently. She found a stool and sat down to wait.

When Wu Yurou came out wearing a dress, she unexpectedly saw several princes she had met at the banquet.

Wu Yurou immediately understood what was going on. She glared at Su Minyu angrily. "You called them here?"

Su Minyu shrugged. "I didn't. They came on their own."

The Third Prince showed his buck teeth and said, "The princess looks like a lotus emerging from the water in this dress. It suits your name perfectly."

Then the Third Prince took out a silver ingot. "I'll pay for this girl's clothes."

Seeing this, the other princes also took out their silver. "Use mine! Use mine!"

Seeing this, Su Minyu gave Xia Mian a look. Xia Mian immediately understood and stepped forward. "Miss, you do look good in this dress, but I feel like something is missing."

Then Xia Mian pointed at the clothes hanging alone. "Miss, you're so noble. You can try our limited - edition clothes. There are very few of them, and each one is made by our master personally. The fabric and design are top - notch, but..."

Xia Mian pursed her lips. "But because the design and quality are so good, these clothes are very expensive..."

"Expensive?" Wu Yurou raised her eyebrows. "Aren't there so many people willing to pay for me?"

With that, she took one of the clothes and went to try it on.

Su Minyu and Xia Mian looked at each other. Xia Mian gave Su Minyu a look that said "You're amazing".

Actually, those clothes were indeed unique. Many of them either didn't highlight the design features or were too costly to be released. Some were just made to let Su Minyu see what the finished design looked like.

Those clothes were originally going to be disposed of, but now Su Minyu had packaged them and sold them at the highest price. It was really like selling cabbages at the price of pork.

Wu Yurou almost took one of each kind of clothes in Sinnan Pavilion. In the end, it was, of course, the princes who paid the money.

Not only did Su Minyu and Wu Yurou have a lot of servants following them, but there was also a group of wealthy young men who looked intimidating. They attracted everyone's attention wherever they went.

Su Minyu was used to the attention and was not affected at all, but Wu Yurou was very unhappy. So, after walking a short distance, she lost interest and didn't want to go on.
