"Just taking a stroll to digest food."
"Digest food?" He chuckled. "Let's go home to do that."
"Okay, let's go."
Shi Wan thought he meant they'd walk for a while and then go back. But as soon as she agreed, the man pulled her into the car.
"Aren't we supposed to be digesting food?"
"Well, isn't exercise a way to digest food?"
Shi Wan: "..."
She got it.
How could he say such things without even blushing?
"It's not good for your health."
Shen Siyan leaned over. Shi Wan instinctively leaned back, and then he pinched her cheek. "What are you hiding for? I'm not going to take advantage of you."
He was just putting on her seat - belt.
"I didn't mean that."
As soon as she finished speaking, he pecked her lips.
"But then again, a fool doesn't take advantage when it's offered."
"You..."
"Didn't you say so?" The man tilted her chin up and laughed softly. "My little wife taught me personally. How could I forget?"
"I didn't teach you this way."
"Hmm? Then how was it?" The man's voice was mellow and sexy. "Teaching me to call you baby? Darling? Or what?"
Shi Wan's little face unconsciously turned pink.
"Not saying anything means it's true?" He pinched her face. "A kiss?"
"You already kissed me just now."
Shi Wan shifted her body and sat properly.
"That was just a light touch at most."
He grabbed her hand, pinned her down on the seat, and leaned in for a kiss.
After a long while, he reluctantly pulled away, pressing his fingertips against her lips and whispering hoarsely, "This is how it should be. Remember it next time."
She pursed her lips and said nothing. Anyway, he was the one who got the upper hand in the end.

Shi Wan had something to do that night. When Shen Siyan came out of the bathroom, he found that she was still sitting in the study.
He pushed the door open. The woman in front of the computer looked serious, her fingers tapping on the keyboard. He wondered what she was so busy with.
"What are you doing? It's very late."
"You go to bed first. I'll finish this."
She didn't even look up and said calmly.
He frowned. How could he sleep alone?

When he saw the words on the computer screen clearly, his eyebrows twitched violently.
Why was his little wife looking into this?

"I'll be done soon."
He suddenly realized. "Was it you who investigated Shen Jiao?"
Shi Wan paused. "You knew?"
What she meant was not whether he knew about the matter, but his reaction at the moment.
There was nothing on her computer screen related to Shen Jiao. How could he guess it just from this?
"Yes, I knew." He held her in his arms and sat her on his lap while operating the computer. "I didn't know it was you before, and you didn't say anything."

The man pinched her waist, his phoenix - like eyes narrowing dangerously.
She blinked. "Why don't you say it's because your willpower is not strong enough?"
"How can I have any willpower when you're around?"
He carried her to sit on the table, tilted her chin up, and kissed her. "Now that you're done with your work, isn't it my turn?"
Shi Wan: "..."
"Not saying anything means you agree." His mellow voice whispered in her ear. "I haven't tried it in the study yet."
She suddenly widened her eyes and quickly jumped off the table. But she had only taken one step when the man grabbed her back.
"Shen Siyan, this is the study!"
"Well, isn't it exciting?"
He whispered hoarsely as he locked her in his arms.
Shi Wan's heart skipped a beat. She felt inexplicably ashamed. "It's different."
"Let you be on top?"
"Okay."
Shen Siyan was stunned for a moment and couldn't help laughing softly. "Come on."

The next day, Shi Wan was dug out of the quilt by the man before she woke up.
"Darling, get up. I'll take you somewhere."
She murmured something. Shen Siyan leaned closer but couldn't hear clearly. But from her reaction, it should be something like not wanting to get up.
On other days, he would have let her be.
Seeing that she didn't want to get up, the man carried her into the bathroom. After washing her up, he helped her get dressed. Only after finishing everything did he carry her downstairs.

"Yes, sir."
Shi Wan rubbed against him in his arms. Her voice was still sleepy. "Where are we going?"
"A temple." Seeing her looking up in confusion, he explained, "To pray for safety."
Shi Wan: "..."
"You believe in this?"
The man looked down at her for a few seconds and said calmly, "Yes. We'll be there soon. Are you uncomfortable?"
He didn't believe before, but now he did.
"No, I'm not." Shi Wan looked out of the window. "The scenery outside is quite nice."
"I'll accompany you to enjoy it when we come back."
"Okay."
After waking up, Shi Wan wasn't sleepy anymore. She kept looking out of the window.
Shen Siyan looked at her and complained, "Darling."
"Hmm?"
"Is the scenery outside nice?"
She was stunned for a moment and then smiled. "Yes, it is."
"The view on your side... isn't as good. It's better to look at my side."
He leaned back a bit.
If Shi Wan looked over, it would be as if she was looking at him.
She sat over and went along with his words. The man's expression visibly improved.
It took about another hour to reach their destination.
The car couldn't go up the mountain. They had to walk the rest of the way.
Shi Wan looked up. The road ahead seemed endless. The temple was built on the mountain.
"Climb up?"
"Yes. Shall we go?"
Shen Siyan didn't choose to carry her but held her hand and walked up.
Only by walking up personally could one show sincerity.
"Let's go."
The driver waited at the foot of the mountain.
Both of them were in good physical condition. There were also many people on the way, but most of them said they couldn't go on after walking for a while. They stopped to rest on the road or went back down the mountain directly.
Shen Siyan always paid attention to Shi Wan's condition and would stop immediately if he found something wrong with her.
