Fei Shuyi felt a chill run down her spine at her smile and couldn't help taking a step back.
However, she forgot there was something behind her. She tripped over it and her body uncontrollably toppled backward.
"Ouch, damn it!"
A string of fluent expletives slipped out of her mouth. The next second, she was picked up like a little chick.
She looked up and met the man's dark face. "Fei Shuyi, you've got some nerve. You even dare to swear?"
Fei Shuyi's heart skipped a beat, and she looked at Shi Wan resentfully.
That damned woman must have noticed it long ago.
"It was an instinctive reaction. Let me go first. I feel like a puppy like this."
She struggled and cried for help. "Wanwan, save me quickly."
"Brother Fei Jin."
Fei Jin and Fei Shuyi were siblings. Over the years they'd known each other, he'd taken good care of her.
"Wanwan." Meeting her eyes, Fei Jin's expression softened. "Not busy lately?"
"Busy."
Fei Jin was taken aback for a moment and then smiled. "I was going to invite you to dinner, but I didn't expect you to be so unpredictable."
"Next time." Glancing at her phone, Shi Wan got up. "I have something to do. I'll leave first."
"I'll see you off."
Just like that, Fei Shuyi was left behind by her own brother. She rolled her eyes speechlessly.
Such a womanizer, neglecting his sister for a woman.
"Wanwan, are you going to settle down this time?"
Fei Jin asked this because he'd never seen Shi Wan stay in one place for so long.
Settle down?
Shi Wan's eyes flickered slightly. "Yes."
"Then..."
"Baby."
A sudden voice rang out. Before Fei Jin could react, Shi Wan walked towards the man.
"Why did you come here?"
Shen Siyan took her hand and glanced at Fei Jin. "I just got off work and came to wait for you."
"Really or not?"
"Even if it's not true, it is now. Anyway, I'm here."
If he hadn't come, he wouldn't have known there was another rival in love around her.
This little woman was just too attractive.
"Wanwan, who is he?"
The intimate actions of the two and the expression on Shi Wan's face had already given him a general idea, but he just didn't want to admit it.
"He's my husband, Shen Siyan."
"Shen Siyan?" Fei Jin was stunned. "The young master of the Shen family?"
How could Shi Wan marry such a man?
Even if he wasn't bad, he was definitely not Shen Siyan.
Shen Siyan nodded and looked directly into his eyes fearlessly. There was a storm brewing in his eyes. "It's me."
Fei Jin's throat felt dry. "Hello, I'm Fei Jin, Wanwan's friend."
"Brother Fei Jin, we have something to do. We'll leave first."
Fei Jin nodded, putting one hand in his trouser pocket, and watched her leave.
When getting in the car, Shen Siyan looked back at him. His deep phoenix eyes were pitch - black and cold.
"I thought you were at the hospital. Why did you come here?"
After the car had been driving for a while and the man didn't get a response from her, he said sourly.
"I had something to do there."
"What's the matter?"
"Private business."
Shen Siyan looked at her. "Don't want to tell me?"
Shi Wan was silent for a moment. "What's wrong?"
He moved his lips and murmured, "It's okay."
Hearing this, Shi Wan didn't pay any attention.
Just like that, Shen Siyan was angry all the way. When he got out of the car, he slammed the door as if he had a feud with it.
After walking for a while and not seeing Shi Wan following him, he walked back.
"What are you doing? Do you still want to go out?"
She nodded. "Yes, I really have to go out later."
"Is there no food at home for you?"
"Say one more word?" She frowned. "What's going on with you?"
She'd thought about it all the way but still couldn't figure out what she'd done to provoke him. He'd had a stinky face all the way.
"You..."
"Try to keep that stinky face on."
Shen Siyan: "..."
His wife was too fierce.
"That man just now..."
"He's just a friend. Didn't I already say that?"
"Shi Wan, are you impatient with me?" The man lowered his eyes. "Don't you even want to explain things to me now?"
"I'm not."
"Not yet? I just asked one more question and you got impatient."
Shi Wan: "..."
This routine seemed so much like a woman's way of acting.
The next sentence completely confirmed her thought.
"You don't cherish me now that you've got me?"
Shi Wan rubbed her forehead. "No."
Shen Siyan stared at her and then turned around and left.
"Hey..."
She stepped forward and grabbed his hand. "I didn't mean that. Don't think too much."
The man didn't say a word.
"I really have nothing to do with him. We're just friends."
The man stopped in his tracks. "Do you know what your words sound like now?"
"What?"
Meeting the man's gaze, she suddenly had the thought that it would be better not to listen.
"Just like what some people say, 'She's just my sister. Don't be unreasonable.' " After a pause, he said, "Do you mean I'm being unreasonable just now?"
"No, you're over - interpreting." Shi Wan felt like their roles had been reversed. "Anyway, I have nothing to do with him. Don't worry and don't think randomly."
He pursed his lips. Just because she didn't think much didn't mean others didn't.
A man could always see through another man most accurately. The look in that man's eyes just now... He really wanted to dig out his eyeballs.
Shi Wan stood on tiptoe and kissed his thin lips. "Shen Siyan, don't you trust me?"
His eyes darkened. His Adam's apple bobbed up and down. He tightened his arms around her waist. "I don't distrust you. I just don't trust other men."
She was too wonderful and excellent. It was normal for others to covet her...
"Baby, I have my own selfishness."
"I allow it." She said, "But we don't need to quarrel and have conflicts over such things and give others a chance, right?"
He responded in a low voice. She was really rational.
The man lowered his head and got closer to her, whispering, "I really want to see you go crazy for me once."
Shi Wan raised her eyebrows but didn't say a word.
"Let's go home."
"Not angry anymore?"
"I'm not angry with you. Besides, being angry and holding hands are two different things." He hooked his lips, and his voice showed no trace of emotion. "Or do you not want me to hold your hand?"
"How dare I?" Shi Wan followed the man back to their yard. Seeing the medicinal herbs she'd planted growing better and better, she couldn't help raising her eyebrows.
"They're growing really well."
She'd dig them out and sell them for money in a few days.
Shen Siyan just smiled faintly and said nothing.
At night, Shi Wan went out and came to the appointed place. At the bar counter, a bartender casually passed something into her hand.
Shi Wan raised her eyebrows. "What are you doing when there's no one around?"
"Boss, isn't this how secret agents pass on information secretly?"
Li Si, who was disguised as a bartender, took off his mask and said mysteriously.
"Really?" She hooked her lips. "What they show is wisdom, but what you show looks like you've just been discharged from a mental hospital."
Li Si: "..."
The boss was really mean - mouthed.
"Just say it directly."
Li Si cleared his throat. "Boss, do you still remember a person in your hacker alliance? No, he's not in your hacker alliance anymore. He's the one you kicked out before."
Shi Wan narrowed her eyes. "Flame?"
"That's him. After you gave him a chance, he still didn't repent. He colluded with other forces and wanted to take revenge. Most of the recent things were caused by him."
"Do you know where he is?"
Shi Wan tapped her fingers on the table and wrote the word "target" on it with the water.
