Chapter 27: Find the Bones and Drink Their Water

Song Yiran kept writhing on the bed. There was a cloth in his mouth, so he couldn't make a sound. Uncle frowned tightly, while Xu Yang looked at Song Yiran with a worried face.

Xu Yang wanted to step forward, but due to the current special situation, he could only stand there still, enduring the pain silently as if suffering greatly.

"The situation is more complicated than I thought," Uncle turned to look at me.

"Mu'er, what on earth happened? How did your friend get hurt like this?" There was full of confusion in Uncle's eyes.

Yan Yan asked the question before me, "Uncle, what's going on?"

Uncle sighed, "You've provoked something you shouldn't have. This corpse with the parasitic bug is more powerful than I expected. The bug parasitizes on the corpse and is poisonous. The stronger the host, the more powerful the toxicity."

"He had an attack so quickly. Presumably the host is even more powerful. Although I don't know how you provoked this thing, it's very troublesome. I'm not even sure if my method will work."

"Uncle, just tell us. For Yiran's sake, we'll do anything," Xu Yang grabbed Uncle's arm and asked urgently.

Uncle held Xu Yang's hand back, "You need to go and get a bone from that corpse."

Fatty opened his mouth in surprise, "What? The corpse is in the water. How can we do that?"

Fatty smacked his lips, looked at Uncle in disbelief, then at Xu Yang. Xu Yang looked at Song Yiran on the bed, his eyes full of reluctance.

"Okay, I'll go and get it," Xu Yang said firmly, his eyes filled with doting as he looked at Song Yiran.

"How can I let you go alone?"

Fatty punched Xu Yang on the shoulder, "We're a team. We share life and death."

"Yeah, Yan Yan and I will go too, right Yan Yan?" I said, winking at Yan Yan. Yan Yan nodded understandingly. Xu Yang grinned happily.

Uncle looked at the four of us, then at the gradually darkening sky outside, thinking, "What should come will come eventually. No one can escape."

"After we leave, please take care of Song Yiran, Uncle."

After we left, the only person we could trust and entrust with this was Uncle. "Fatty, you stay too."

It didn't make much difference whether Fatty went or not. If he didn't go, it would save us some trouble and we could go into the tomb safely. If Fatty went, we'd have to keep an eye on his safety all the time.

To relieve Song Yiran's pain, the three of us set off after making all the arrangements. We had to make full use of the time to make Xu Yang feel better.

We drove all the way. The atmosphere in the car was extremely heavy. Yan Yan was always in a low mood, and now Xu Yang was as bad as him. We drove for more than three hours at the fastest speed in this depressing atmosphere.

When we got there, we got out of the car. The surrounding environment remained the same, without any changes. We found the right position and started to grope our way in. It was very similar to the first time we came in.

In the dark corridor, we relied on the candlelight to see the way. There were no blood butterflies on the walls. This corridor was a bit too easy. There were no sudden obstacles.

Xu Yang was extremely anxious and walked in the front with the candle. Just as we were approaching the cave, the candle went out. We were suddenly plunged into darkness.

After getting used to the candlelight, the sudden darkness made me instinctively tremble. I wanted to reach out my hand to pull Yan Yan, but unexpectedly, I didn't catch him.

I quickly turned around to look. There was only darkness behind me. Xu Yang took out a match and lit the candle. The corridor lit up again. I called out to Xu Yang, "Yan Yan is gone."

Xu Yang held the candle and looked back. He found that Yan Yan was really gone. Where had Yan Yan gone? Xu Yang patted my shoulder, "Maybe he's looking for us just like we're looking for him. We'll find him."

Only Xu Yang and I were left groping our way forward. We reached the entrance of the mountain cave. The grass on the ground was still the same, still green. Only a small patch had been corroded.

We groped our way towards the stream. Instead of the pool of black water we expected, unexpectedly, the water had become clear and the pile of white bones inside was gone.

I rubbed my eyes to make sure it was real. I looked at Xu Yang and found that he was in the same confused state as me, not believing what he saw.

What on earth was going on? How could this happen? Last time it was clearly here. The corroded area was still there. How could the white bones have disappeared? Could this tomb have self - purifying ability? This was too abnormal.

"Cough, cough." A familiar coughing sound came from another cave. We ran over quickly and found Yan Yan sitting on the ground weakly, covered in blood.

I was just about to go over and help Yan Yan up when Xu Yang took a big step forward, grabbed Yan Yan's collar, and said angrily, "Where did you hide the bones? Do you know how important they are to me?"

Yan Yan weakly grabbed Xu Yang's hand, "I didn't touch the bones."

Xu Yang sneered, "Then explain to me why you suddenly separated from us and then suddenly showed up again? Hmm? What's your intention?"

I quickly went over to persuade Xu Yang, "Maybe things aren't as you think. Yan Yan is also injured now. We can't jump to conclusions too early."

Xu Yang slapped my hand away and looked at me coldly, "Oh, and you, Yan Yan's little lackey. You're on his side. Do you think I'm blind? You're in this together."

"If anything happens to Yiran, I won't let you off," Xu Yang said angrily and turned to leave.

"Cough, cough. Xu Yang, I got the bones," Yan Yan's voice no longer had any coldness, only fragility. Xu Yang stopped in his tracks.

Looking at Yan Yan, he said, "What are you up to? Are you making a fool of me, Xu Yang? I came into the tomb with you just because you said so. Yiran is still lying in bed, waiting for me."

Yan Yan struggled to stand up. I quickly supported him, afraid that he would fall. "I'm not kidding you. I'm sincere in our cooperation, and these bones are real."

Looking at the injuries on Yan Yan, it seemed that he had encountered something. Xu Yang didn't say a word, just stared at Yan Yan.

"I'll trust you one more time. If Yiran doesn't get better, none of you will be able to escape." After saying that, he also came over to support Yan Yan.

It was quite difficult for the two of us to support him. Yan Yan couldn't use any strength at all. We were practically carrying his weight. We moved out step by step.

We spent more than an hour on this short stretch of road, stopping and going. We also had to keep an eye on the environment all the time, fearing that a ghost would suddenly appear.

Finally, we got out. We stuffed Yan Yan into the back seat. I sat in the front passenger seat. Xu Yang could drive faster. We drove all the way back to Xu Yang's home.

Xu Yang kept his face tense all the way, showing no expression. Yan Yan was lying in the back seat. The blood on his body was a bit scary. Xu Yang turned to look at Yan Yan in the back seat.
