Chapter 71: Strange Tales

The Fatty whispered beside me, "Hey, I know you've got a thing for Number One. As your bro, don't say I don't help you. Look over there."

Staring at Yan Yan's somewhat sluggish back, I felt a twinge of pain in my heart, for I noticed that he seemed to be in a wounded state.

I sighed and turned to leave, but my movement paused slightly.

"What's that?"

I frowned, staring at a place not far away. The Fatty shook his head. "I'm not quite sure either, but it seems there's something wrong."

I didn't say a word, just kept silent. What else could I say? There were so many problematic things, but even so, I couldn't do anything for him.

The Fatty waved his arm beside me and suddenly said, "Someone will deal with this little girl. We can take this opportunity to run now. Bro, I'm not kidding. Even if the two of them can hold off for a while, they can't keep it up forever. We'll still end up in the enemy's hands. What do you think?"

I swallowed hard. You make so much sense that I'm speechless. Maybe it was just too reasonable, which made me feel a bit helpless.

I sighed and turned to leave, but the Fatty behind me grabbed me. "Don't move for now."

The Fatty looked a bit serious. He stared at the thing in front of us, with a meaningful smile in his eyes.

"Don't you think it's not the right time for us to leave now?"

I thought to myself, if you really say so, I might even suspect that you have ill intentions towards me.

The Fatty shook his head at me and giggled. "Bro, you don't understand me now, do you? I'm going to tell you something now."

He took three steps in two and walked beside me. He winked at me. The next second, I felt a pair of cold arms go right through my body and wrap around my waist.

The Fatty laughed coldly behind me. "I won't lie to you. I've wanted to do this for a long time."

A sharp dagger sliced down. Oh my god, with a puffing sound, there was no sense of dullness, just a shrill scream of a woman.

The Fatty let out a laugh that gave me goosebumps. This feeling was anything but good!

What was that thing? I stared at him blankly, feeling something was off.

The Fatty's expression was tinged with mockery. "Do you think I was just talking nonsense with you for so long? This woman has been staring at you from behind."

I turned to look at the woman behind the Fatty. She could no longer be called a human. Green branches splashed onto my clothes.

I swallowed hard, staring at the woman, a bit stunned.

I took two steps back. The woman curled up a smile. She seemed to be about two meters tall and had no clothes on.

Green tree bark wrapped around her body, giving people a very ominous feeling.

I asked tentatively, "What do you want? Don't do this."

I kept backing away. Thump, thump, thump, thump, the sound of my heartbeat. I thought to myself, I really didn't want this.

"Wait a minute."

The woman walked towards me step by step. The Fatty directly stood in front of me, holding up the torch in his hand.

"Wait, where did this torch come from?"

The Fatty gave me a disdainful look. "Can you be any more stupid? Where do you think the torch came from? I've been preparing for so long. Who was really just chatting with you?"

I thought to myself, the city is full of tricks. I want to go back to the countryside. You win.

I turned around and ran into the darkness without looking back. The Fatty giggled beside me. "Come on, come on. Fatty here will play with you. Have you seen that unlucky guy? He's already in a bad state."

I thought to myself, can you talk properly? It's clearly a good thing, but it sounds completely different coming from your mouth.

The woman curled up a charming and arrogant smile. Don't ask me how I knew her smile was like that. I regretted looking back.

The woman walked towards me step by step, with a meaningful look in her eyes. I shivered and raised my hands.

I let out a scream that was so loud it could move heaven and earth, even I was a bit disgusted by it.

The Fatty shivered. "Hey, you don't have to be so emotional, do you?"

"Damn it, why don't you turn around and take a look? Is this why I'm screaming?"

God knows my mentality completely collapsed when I saw countless green heads on the wall.

I'd noticed something was wrong with this woman two days ago. She wasn't human at all, but a kind of vine - type creature that parasitized on the wall.

Anyway, when the two of us realized the situation, I immediately noticed that there was something wrong with those black - clothed men beside us.

Because when we saw them all together, their faces looked even more ugly than ours.

The Fatty chuckled. "It seems we're all going to die here today."

I thought to myself, you don't look scared at all. The Fatty probably understood my look and gave me a disdainful look.

"What's there to be afraid of? Don't you know that Fatty here has always been very Buddhist?"

I shook my head and replied, "No, I don't know if you're Buddhist or not. I only know that in this situation, you'd better take care of yourself. I'm leaving first."

After saying that, I ignored his shouting. I directly chopped off the green hand that reached out. Green branches splashed all over me. I froze for a moment and then turned around and walked away without looking back.

It would be stupid not to leave now. There seemed to be endless gazes in the black tunnel looking at me, as if waiting for a proper explanation after everything settled.

I've never had good luck since I was a kid. In fact, it hasn't gotten any better when I grew up.

If it weren't for that, how could I have encountered these things?

The Fatty was entangled with them over there, while I planned to move forward. Suddenly, a voice came from behind.

"Where are you going?"

I looked at the person who appeared in front of me and had a very strange thought in my mind. That guy was none other than a very familiar black - clothed man.

I'd seen that guy before and talked to him. When everyone was watching the fight between the black - clothed leader and Yan Yan, why did he suddenly come over?

I stared at him with a strange look in my eyes, but he didn't say anything and just smiled brightly!

When the black - clothed leader was there just now, he clearly didn't smile so brightly. I had a bad feeling.

My past experience told me that when a person who used to be very innocent suddenly smiles at you in a different way, there's probably something fishy going on.

I raised my hands and asked with a smile, "Sir, if I've offended you in any way before, please forgive me. I really didn't mean it. So, could you please let me go?"
