Chapter 38: The Patient

The Fatty didn't care whether the other person was a patient or not. He just spoke right up.

"Stop pretending. My friend has already found out that it was you who mailed the bottle to our young master. Don't you know what the Second Master wants to do? You're his trusted subordinate."

Hearing this, A Jin's face showed a wry smile. "No wonder you came straight to me so purposefully this time. You've got solid evidence. I'm quite curious. Who on earth gave you the evidence?"

He looked at the Fatty, with blatant disdain in his eyes.

"What's your relationship with our young master?"

"Does this matter even concern you?"

The Fatty got annoyed. It seemed they were about to get into a fight. Just then, my phone beeped.

I took out my phone and glanced at it. I looked at A Jin in surprise. "You said this town is in Yunnan? That's not what you said before."

There was a location sent to my phone, an extremely remote mountain village, a town I'd never heard of.

Caixia Needle Town. The name was full of an ancient charm. I was sure it was still called Caixia Town. I thought to myself, come on, bro, who are you kidding?

Although I had doubts in my heart, I didn't voice them out directly. But the Fatty didn't hold back at all.

He and A Jin didn't get along well in the first place. Now seeing A Jin just give out the information like that, his suspicion deepened.

"Hey, bro," the Fatty walked up to A Jin and said bluntly, "I feel like you've got some bad intentions."

A Jin rolled his eyes. "Whether I have good intentions or not is none of your business. Anyway, believe me if you want. If not, forget it."

With that, he turned around and left. I watched the Fatty's grim face and felt like laughing, but at the same time, I didn't dare to.

The Fatty rubbed his arm and said straightforwardly, "I hope you can handle this matter properly."

When the Fatty turned to leave, he suddenly froze. He stared into my eyes, frowned, and said, "What do you think of this matter?"

I sighed and rubbed my arm. "It's nothing."

The Fatty pulled me outside the ward and stared into my eyes seriously. "I know you're soft - hearted again, but we still need to investigate. You're not really going to listen to A Jin and go to that god - forsaken place, are you? To be blunt, his arm was disabled because of you. Even if he's loyal to your second uncle, he might still harm you."

I knew the Fatty really had my best interests at heart. Among the people around me now, the one I should trust the most was neither my second uncle nor Yan Yan, but the Fatty in front of me.

I looked into his eyes and showed him the coordinates again. "Don't you think this coordinate, although the name is a bit tacky, is a bit strange? Doesn't the name Caixia Town ring any bells for you?"

The Fatty shook his head, looking completely bewildered. I sighed and took out another photo and showed it to the Fatty.

This photo was the same one the Fatty had shown me before. When I just came out of the underground tomb, the Fatty hit me hard with this photo.

It was a real eye - opener. At that time, the Fatty showed me this photo, and the feeling of being betrayed by my own second uncle was really bad.

The Fatty didn't understand why I showed him the photo again. He asked curiously, "Wasn't this the evidence my friend sent me, proving that your second uncle tricked you and his junior apprentice into buying that bottle? Since you know what happened, why are you still beating around the bush?"

I rubbed my head and stared into the Fatty's eyes, smiling faintly. "What do you think?"

The Fatty shook his head, still looking confused. I leaned close to his ear and whispered carefully, "I have my reasons. Think about this. Isn't there more to it than meets the eye?"

The Fatty swallowed hard and suddenly seemed to understand something. He stared at a corner of the photo and murmured a few words.

There were three small words written in a corner of the photo. It was the auction in Caiyun Town not long ago.

I didn't know where Caixia Town was. After all, China was so vast that it was normal for town names to be repeated.

But obviously, there must be some connection between Caixia Town and Caiyun Town. Maybe this was a clue.

Maybe when we got to Caixia Town, we'd find out about Caiyun Town. It was obvious that the bottle came from this series of related towns.

There were indeed many villages of different ethnic minorities around Yunnan. Just thinking about it made me shiver.

I hoped this time would go smoothly, but obviously, reality never lived up to people's hopes.

Seeing my grim face, A Jin forced a smile. "You've figured it out too, haven't you? It's impossible for things to go so smoothly for us. The third team that went there last time was completely wiped out, and they left behind very important clues. There's a big tomb down there, and the thing that made this village so strange is under that tomb."

"What on earth is in there?"

I heard my voice trembling slightly. The other person shook his head and sighed. After a long time, he said, "Actually, I don't know what's in there. I only know that my father has been wandering around since that year."

I stared into A Jin's eyes and asked tentatively, "Do you mean he did this for my second uncle?"

The Fatty couldn't help but sneer. "If that's the case, why do you still respect your second uncle so much? He's been using your family like a puppet. Don't be so stupid as to be sold and still count the money for him."

A Jin shook his head. "That guy has always had a bad temper. He'd beat me and my mom for no reason. If it weren't for the second uncle, I might be dead by now."

I sighed, not knowing what to say. Suddenly, something flashed in my mind, and I remembered something.

The Fatty nudged me and whispered, "Don't you think this guy is a bit interesting?"

"What do you mean?" I frowned and looked at the Fatty.

The Fatty chuckled. "How about we go there this time? Let's see this legendary big tomb for ourselves."

"The people behind this are not to be trifled with. I did tell you before that I wanted to see the bigger world outside, but what do you mean? We almost died there last time, and you still want to go?"
